I really do like these shoes. The material is excellent, most I've paid for a shoe, and the only shoe, I'll probably say I'll keep for a long, long time - so worth it. Regardless how dirty or how much work, a quick scrub or rinse, and they look like new again. A small crease will settle, but slight, and they're black so it's not that noticeable. Comfortable when I first got them, but the soul has worn down, and to be expected, but nothing a removable insole won't fix. The shoe size probably should match your actual foot size or within half an inch. Some may say they run big, but its just that every other shoe maker runs small...My foot is exactly 12in, but I typically need a size 13 shoe. 13in in these boots are a little bigger, but didn't warrant a return, just gives you more run to tie them up tighter (possibly the intent). ... show more

My husband is a former Navy air crewman. He wanted a good, sturdy pair of boots that he could use for everyday wear. He likes the high style as they support his ankles. The boots are very nice in appearance. They are almost completely scuff-proof. The ties are strong and don't look like they would easily fray. The size is true (he wears a 9) and he said they were comfortable from the minute he put them on. They're rugged yet professional enough he can wear them to work. Kind of a disappointment. The box they came in would fit just as well. Length is fine, width is okay at the forefoot, but above the foot and through the instep is wide open and huge around your upper foot and ankle. Nobody has a foot shaped like that. They also squeak a great deal - not in the sole during a step like most squeaky shoes, but in the upper around your ankle. I bought the black scuff-proof boot because they're waterproof and sort of non-descript so you can wear them with office casual and commute on a motorcycle without worrying too much about rain ruining work shoes. I needed to get some new boots for work, and was browsing on Amazon, and came across Timberland Boots. So I read the reviews on these boots and decided to give them a shot. I have only used them for a few days but they seem to be okay. My experience is that boots are usually okay untill they are truly broken in and these have a few weeks to go before they are truley broken in. I am somewhat rough on my work shoes but I believe these will hold up to my abuse, ... show more

I do not think much needs to be said here. If you are looking for a waterproof pair of boots that look great, function great, and feel wonderful then this is for you. The scuffproof is a must have if you want your boots to stay looking in tip top shape with ease. No matter how dirty they get a little rain or rinse from a hose wash's the crud right off. ... show more

Love the shoes very comfortable and easy to walk in only thing I didn't care for is that the pic is a little misleading because are a white fur and no the typical brown material that matches the outside of the boots but I wear my jeans over the top of the tongues so you can see the white fur other then that I love the shoes ... show more

    • Good boot at a good price
I was in the market for a boot to wear while riding my motorcycle. I've always like the style and comfort of Timberland boots and when I saw the Timberland scuff proof black boot it seemed like it would fit the bill perfectly. The boots were stiff and uncomfortable at first but after a couple of weeks of wear they are loosening a bit and am sure they will get more comfortable as time passes. I really like the scuff proof finish. It seems to be very durable and has kept it's brand new appearance through the first 2 weeks of everyday wear. The boot is more bulky and heavy than I prefer, but it's nothing I can't accept. I mistakenly took the advice of other reviewers and ordered a full size larger than I usually wear. The boots do run larger than usual, but not a full size. I usually wear a 9D in dress shoes, so I ordered an 8D and they were definitely too small. I returned them and ordered an 8.5 and they fit perfectly. Free shipping and returns is a huge plus when ordering shoes/boots via the internet. I recommend taking a trip to the mall to try on a couple pairs to get your size before ordering. It may save you a week or so in back and forth shipping time and a trip to the UPS store to drop off the return. I definitely recommend the Timberland scuff proof boot. ... show more
