This is an excellent pair of shoes. They seem to be made of quality materials and they looked durable. I was looking for a nice pair of winter dress shoes and these are perfect. They’re a nicer looking dress shoe but also have a thicker lug sole which is perfect for more traction in the winter time. The sizing does seem to run just a little bit large. I ordered a size 13 and these slide off my heel just a bit when walking around. I own another pair of shoes that’s a similar style also in size 13 and they fit perfectly so these do definitely run just a little bit large. There is plenty of toe room which is good because I have very wide feet. The shape of the toe is not too pointy which helps. They are very comfortable. I think wearing these with thicker socks may help or possibly adding a thin insole or stick-on heel pad if they still feel like they’re going to slip too much. but ideally, I probably should’ve ordered a size 12, so that’s something to keep in mind when buying. Overall, though this is a great pair of shoes they seem to be well-made and feel durable. They are comfortable and seem to have just the right amount of support.I think they’re a good value for the price. I reccomend.

I wanted to like these boots, but they have some problems. I'll start with the positives. The leather looks great. I got the Dark Brown -- 669's. The color and look is excellent. The inner and outsole are very comfortable. The toe box is appropriately supportive. The tread is great--aggressive--but low-profile enough to wear at the office. Now my issues: one of the boots is missing the pull-tab on the front of the boot. it looks like the assembler forgot to put it on because nothing is torn or damaged. That, on its own, makes the boots awkward to wear. Also, they're too loose. I have played with different sizes of boots made by this company, and I am pretty confident in my sizing. These are not too long--they're too loose--like the last form was too big, or the boots were stretched. They feel reasonably secure around the toes, but I can shake my foot and the boots feel like they will fly off. The ankle is way too wide, as well. Chukkas are meant to flex more at the ankle for a more casual experience wearing them, and taking them on and off. However, these are too loose, so instead of feeling supported by the elastic sides, they feel like rain boots. I don't like wearing them. Overall, I think you get what you pay for. If you typically order boots a half size larger, then consider ordering these right at your minimum size and see how they work. These are a great option for big guys. The materials are right, and the designs are great. For around $80, these are surprisingly excellent. However, the company has to work out some kinks and correct some problems. If they improve quality control and the fit of their chukka boots, I think they could be a real contender at this price point. Honestly, if they had fit better and weren't missing that pull tab I would love them. For now, I'll stick with my Deer Stags.

These boots are great! I ordered a size 12 which is slightly larger as I want to be able to wear thick socks in Winter and these fit perfectly. They feel really comfortable and the sole is very flexible. The leather feels a good quality, and while I wouldn't want to wear them in really wet weather I think these will be quite durable if there is a rain shower. The soles are a cleated rubber which is also water resistant vs a leather sole which absorbs water. I will wear these with some tailored jeans and casual pants. Really pleased with these boots.

Oh man, do these boots take me back to my teenage years. I have always worn some type of boot. I have a leg disability and boots give me the extra ankle support that I need. But from time to time, I'd have to dress it up a bit and the Chukka boot always fit the bill. They are dress enough to wear with slacks or a suit, but yet casual enough that you don't get tired from wearing them for long periods of time. Even back then they had the side zipper which is necessary for me to be able to wear them. So yes, it made me smile to see them possibly coming back in style. I mean back in the 70's this style of boot was very popular, especially with the leisure suit crowd. And while I have serious doubts about the leisure suit making a comeback, again, I'm very happy to see the return of the Chukka boot. Another thing I'm really glad to see is that they're still making them with real leather, but with a modern update in design. As soon as you take them out of the box, you can see the quality that went into making them. The detailed stitching adds a touch of class missing so much from today's modern shoes. Another attention to detail is the insole padding, so much better than what I remember from back in the day. I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but really glad to see this classic style coming back in fashion. I am very pleased with this purchase and in my opinion this is an easy recommendation. Thank you.
