I walk the pool at a local fitness center three days a week. The FEFELUIS Men's Barefoot Water Shoes were purchased in order to ease the wear on the callus pads on the bottom of my feet caused by the sharp edges of the tiles and grout on the bottom of the pool. I have tried water shoes before but most of them are designed for walking on sand and gravel and lack the traction necessary to walk on smooth tile. The harder and smoother the soul the more likely slip against the floor of the pool making it more difficult to drive forward into the water. This lessens the resistance of the water which lowers the value of the exercise. The material of the soul of the FEFELUIS shoe is lower in durometer than others I have tried and its flexibility is adequate for comfortable walking. The uplifted shape of the soul in the toe area aids in pool water walking. The fit of the shoe feels a little loose to size but the elasticity of the top weave holds the shoe in place even through the most difficult exercise pattern. The upper fabric is smooth and there are no pressure points within the shoe which could cause irritation or callousing. The price at this writing is very reasonable and comparable to other shoes on the market. I recommend this purchase.

This is an interesting pair of barefoot water shoes in that it offers a firmer sole and no elastic laces or drawstrings. The sizing is fine—I typically wear size 9.5 and these size 9’s fits well enough. There is still some free space in the heel portion so the shoes do move around a bit as I’m walking, but the shoes do stay on. My toes are pretty much at the end with a little bit of room left, but there is plenty of space on the sides. Because it doesn’t have any way to adjust the tightness of the opening (either laces or drawstrings), your foot and heel pretty much relies on the elastic material around the rim. While there is some movement (particularly around the heel), wearing these lightweight shoes are comfortable (in part due to the cushion and minor arch support of an otherwise firm insole). The insoles are made of a rubbery foam material, and they can feel a bit sticky if your foot sweats or if they are wet. The soles are much harder than other barefoot water shoes I’ve worn. With other shoes, I could feel more of the ground (or the shape of a rock, if I’m climbing on something). These shoes have a harder sole so that it offers better traction and durability but less feel. They are very breathable due to the porous fabric material along the top and sides of the shoe. In general, these are nice water shoes that are comfortable to wear casually and are quick to slip on; however, I would prefer something with a better and more secure fit.

I picked these up from Amazon because I wanted something lightweight for around the water that didn’t feel bulky or restrictive, and I received this product from Amazon, sold by Fefeluis Store, and right out of the box they felt noticeably lighter than most water shoes I’ve tried. The wide fit is the real standout here, the toe box actually gives your feet room to spread out which makes them feel more natural when walking around, and it really does have that barefoot style feel without giving up protection from rocks or rough ground. I slipped them on for a quick trip down by the water and ended up keeping them on longer than planned because they were just easy to wear and didn’t feel like something I needed to kick off right away. They drain quickly and don’t hold onto water which is a big deal, I’ve had other pairs that stay soggy and heavy but these dry out fast and stay comfortable even after getting fully wet. The slip on design is also convenient when going back and forth between water and land which makes them more practical than anything with laces. Overall these are a great option if I want a lightweight water shoe with a true wide fit and a more natural feel, and it fits into real life instead of making me adjust around it.

I picked up these water shoes for a beach camping trip in my VW bus, and they turned out to be one of the most useful things I packed. First off, the wide fit is a game changer. My feet usually feel cramped in water shoes, but these were super comfortable right out of the bag, no breaking in needed. The slip on design made them easy to throw on when hopping in and out of the bus, especially when the sand was scorching during the day. At the beach, they handled everything: soft sand, wet granite seawall rocks, quick dips in the ocean. They dry fast, which is perfect when you’re camping out of a van and don’t want soggy gear lying around. I’d go from the water straight to cooking by the bus, and they were already drying by the time I finished eating. The grip surprised me too. I didn’t slip once on wet surfaces, whether I was rinsing off or walking along rocky patches. They’re lightweight enough that I barely noticed I had them on, but still protective enough to avoid anything sharp and hot sand. Overall, these are perfect for anyone doing beach camping, van life, or just spending long days near the water. They’ve officially earned a permanent spot in my camping gear.

I love the wide toe space and the very lightweight material. The upper mesh material allows water to flow in and out, which is a nice feature. The bottom is more of a rubber material so is comfortable walking over rocks. This is the first pair of water shoes I’ve owned that I cannot take out the inner sole. Not sure if that is good or bad. There are little holes on the bottom of the shoes to allow water to drain so perhaps that is why there’s no need to take the sole out. The shoes themselves are very stylish and fit well. I am a size 12 and they fit true to size. The one thing I wish they did differently is put the pull loop on the heel instead of the front of the shoe. You do have to put your fingers into the heel to pull up onto your heel. There is no practical use for the pull loop on the front, so not sure why that was added. But overall very comfortable, very practical, and great for beach use.
