I have a hard time finding non traditional extra wide footwear other than well known brands like Rockport or New Balance. These water shoes were surprisingly helpful in the ocean to protect me from rocks etc. as I attempted to snorkel. I use them in the pool as well, but a fair warning, they sort of making swimming more difficult (at least for me) as the shoes caused a bit of resistance in the pool. I'd recommend for water use, I walked around in the hotel pool area with no issues. If you use them in the ocean, sand will collect and the best way to get it clean is to submerge in water and work the sand out. ... show more

I tried these for the first time today at water exercise class. They fit well and are comfortable on my wide feet. They stayed on throughout the vigorous exercises. However, they were very slippy on the black tile lane lines. In the shower area, the tile isn't as polished so not quite as slippy. I can wear these outside as the bottoms are quite substantial compare to other water shoes. I plan to take these on our upcoming cruise. I think they will work quite well. After the bottoms get the new shine worn off a little, maybe they will slip less. ... show more
