We use it in a 100 gallon tank, it takes two to three hours to heat up depending on the outside temperature. If your not careful it will be too hot and we have to add cold water to cool it down for our shower.

We live in the North West and it gets super cold in the winter, heck even in the early fall. This works great for heating the water trough for animals so that the water doesn't freeze on them. Also great to heat water for us. I like having it heat our kids kiddie pool after it's sat in the evening and the temperatures have dropped. It makes it more enjoyable for them. ... show more
