My old nail drill is also by MelodySusie. I enjoyed that one but this one is better. It goes up to 40,000rpm, which is faster than my old drill. The old drill is solid and well made and this new one is no different. This new professional, clip-on rechargeable nail drill is great. It’s so lightweight. It’s cordless and has a clip that easily attaches to my waistband. I’m not held back by a wall cord, which I love. I can move freely about as needed. The cord attaching hand piece to machine is long enough to move around unencumbered. It’s the type of cord that’s curled so you can extend it for more length, but when the pulling is released it snaps back into its curled position, taking up less space. It is nice because the cord doesn’t get tangled. They’ve included a usb to-c charging cord and an outlet adapter (I never see the outlet adapters included with things anymore, so that was a small but welcome surprise). The hand piece is lightweight but still feels solid and substantial. The metal feels sturdy. It’s easy to grasp and doesn’t tire my hand out. I like the size of the hand piece too. It’s streamlined. I think it may be less bulky than my old one. Operating the drill couldn’t be easier. The buttons are all on the front side. There’s a power button, a forward/reverse button, and a dial that controls speed on a gradient. It goes from the lowest setting of 1 all the way up to 40 (so 1000 to 40,000 rpm’s). You can operate it at any whole number in between those values (1,2,3,4, etc.). Changing the speed is smooth. The drill easily goes between forward and reverse. It stops itself from a high speed very quickly. I feel safe operating it. It doesn’t seem like it will malfunction in some catastrophic way. I say this because it just feels well made and constructed. There is a nice collection of drill bits included. You get a bunch of the sanding rings. There are also some basic, but useful metal bits. I love the round one from getting rid of dry skin around my nails. It works so well. Make sure to keep the drill in motion as you use it because it will get hot if you hold the bit in one spot for too long. The machine doesn’t get hot, it’s the friction between skin/nail and the spinning, metal bit that heats up. The machine and the hand piece have never felt overheated, even if I keep it on for extended periods. I did notice that the lock/unlock mechanism, for the drill bits, was a little hard to unlock. It doesn’t have the same smoothness when I turn it that other hand pieces I own have. It locks well and stays locked, holding the bit firmly in place, so that’s not an issue. I am able to unlock it to remove the bits, but it feels less smooth, requiring more force than I’m used to, to turn. All of the MelodySusie products that I’ve tried have been pretty high quality. I’ve used a lot of their things through the years (drills, nail polish, remover, etc.) and have always been happy with the quality. This nail drill is fabulous. It’s light, easy to use, with a straightforward design that takes the stress out of doing nails. I’m honestly really happy with it.

If you’re on the fence about getting an e-file, just go for this one...it's worth every penny. I originally started doing my own nails at home to save time and money, and to make sure I was actually using good-quality products and this drill completely changed the game for me. I held off on buying a drill for a long time because using one kind of intimidated me. After watching a ton of YouTube tutorials, I finally decided to try this MelodySusie model, and I'm so glad I did. I started out on super low speeds until I got the hang of it, and it turned out to be way easier to use than I thought. Now, it cuts my prep time in half and makes working with Gel-X and builder gel soooo much faster. This drill also came with every bit that I needed (including a good ceramic bit) and lots of sanding bands...so I didn't have to purchase those separately. The drill itself is great. It’s got plenty of power, but it doesn't vibrate like crazy in your hand, and the battery easily lasts through a full set. It's easy to use, the little screen is clear, and the built-in stand is actually really handy for keeping my desk organized while I work. It's also very lightweight and not bulky...so it's easy to hold in my non-dominant hand. There is no jerking or stuttering at low speeds (really important for this nervous beginner) but I'm quickly getting confident at using it at higher speeds too. If you’re hesitant about adding a drill to your home nail setup, don't be. This one is totally worth it. I love Melody Susie products, I haven't had a bad experience with anything I've purchased so far and this is one of those products that you'll get a ton of use out of.

Holy-cats!!! This electric nail file is absolutely phenomenal and pure heaven to use! I have had my fair share of different drills over the years, and this one is easily right at the top of the high end machines that I currently own.The control base is incredibly smooth, lightweight, and so simple to operate using the single main control dial. But it is the actual handpiece wand itself that I am completely smitten with the most! It features a much smaller width than your traditional chunky drills, which makes holding the pen shaped handle so much easier. My hand does not hurt one bit even when I am sitting at my station using it for hours in a day. The professional manufacturing quality is incredible and levels better than any lower grade drills on the market. It is extremely durable, truly low noise, and produces minimal vibration while working.The powerful motor cuts right through acrylic bulk product and gel removal with total ease. A huge bonus is that they throw in an excellent variety of starter bits right in the package, and these are not your generic cheap bits either! They are high quality, well made, and perfect for precision shaping.As an important tip, if you are brand new to doing nails, please be very careful with your natural nail plates when using a professional tool like this. Do your research on speeds first and practice on an egg on its shell first to get your hand pressure down! This equipment is very professional, high quality, and you are definitely getting a huge value for your money. I am super happy with it! Edit: I also wanted to add something I've NEVER seen with a drill. It comes with a charging block! Typically you just get a charging cable. Then we have to go find a charging block that can charge without damaging our drill... not with this set! No more guessing games or digging through our junk drawers! Ready to charge!!!

On the positive side: This is a nice drill with a lot of power/speed choices, the ability to switch to reverse, and a very nicely weighted handpiece that is very comfortable to hold. The drill works well with very little vibration and it's super easy to swap out drill bits, which lock in place securely. The kit comes with a 37.5 inch (not including the plugs on the end) A-to-C USB charging cord and - brilliantly - a wall adaptor so you can actually plug it in. (Well done MelodySusie!) It also comes with a variety of good-quality drill bits and a bag of replacement sanding bands for the mandrel bit. Finally, the whole thing is in a high quality box that can be used for storage between uses. However: On the downside, the weight of the base is too light and/or the fact the coiled cord connecting the base to the handpiece is too short/tight. When working with the unit on the kickstand, the bases constantly moves/falls over - and even with it lying down, it moves around a lot depending on how I'm moving the handpiece. The unit does also have a beltclip, although I don't like to attach the bases to myself. I suppose it could be used to clip it to a cart if your cart has a thin enough bar (or maybe clip it to a weighted down cardboard box?) I also find that the wheel for changing the speeds feel a little on the low-quality side both in material and in how it feels when you turn it. For the price, I would expect something a bit nicer and smoother turning - and in fact I have less expensive drills with wheels that have a smoother feeling and/or that click more nicely between speeds. Overall: It's a decent drill/kit for the price ($129.99 as of the posting of this review) but I think the cord will drive me bananas pulling the base over unless the cord loosens up quickly and/or I figure out a way to stabilise the base so when I pull it doesn't fall over/get yanked around so easily.

MelodySusie clip-on cordless nail drill was just the nail tool I needed to complete a beautiful acrylic nail set! The drill comes with the cordless nail pack, the plug-in handheld drill, charging plug and cord drill bits and sanding bands as well...everything needed! The drill is lightweight but it does not feel cheap in quality it all. It has great durability as well, as I was able to completed 2 full acrylic sets without lost of power output. Now, it did not come with a full charge straight out the package so I did have to charge it prior to using. As I use the drill, I did not experience any skipping in the drill bits against my nails and I did not experience any heat spikes as I prepped my nails and sanded the acrylic. I love the fact that you also have the rotary dial which allows you to control the speed of the nail drill. Another plus with this drill is the portability. I was able to maneuver and move easily with this drill without being tethered to the table with a plug-in cord. This is definitely suitable for beginner or the professional in the nail game. I'm highly recommending this nail drill as this is a great company, that provides great quality products at a great price!

This cordless nail drill from MelodySusie is phenomenal. I have a different model from a MelodySusie that I normally use but was curious how the differences (aside from RPMs) stacked up. I love that the power button is separate from the speed controller. And that the power button is also the pause button. It makes it much more intuitive to use and user friendly. The turn dial speed controller is very responsive and the digital display is easy to read. This model is definitely a step up in that it has the option for clipping on to the user or using the kickstand feature. This means I don’t have to leave it in my lap or laying flat on the table. I was initially concerned about how lightweight the body felt as it didn’t feel as substantial as I was expecting from a pro model, however after using it that is no longer a concern. In the video I have it in kickstand mode and crank it up to full speed. While the noise level definitely increases, it is not off putting and truthfully I don’t anticipate having to use it at such high RPMs for any significant duration. The drill itself has a weight that I have become accustomed to. It’s also balanced and I’m not concerned about hand fatigue or any heating of the hand unit while in use. While I have mixed feelings on the price, I do acknowledge that having quality tools often comes at a higher price point. Many of my nail care tools are from this brand and the price is one that I would only briefly hesitate over before purchasing. All in all 4.5 stars for quality, ease of use, and features.

I have a growing collection of MelodySusie products, and I cannot think of a single one that I have been disappointed with. This seems like a really awesome drill, at least in my relatively inexperienced opinion. It feels high quality and well put together. It also comes with a power block for charging, which is almost never included with products that need one anymore, so that was a nice surprise. The style of the drill is sleek and modern. It is quick and easy to put together and is very quiet. I actually had to touch my finger to the drill after turning it on because I could not tell if it was running. I thought maybe something was wrong, but no, it was just really quiet. The handpiece feels comfortable and lightweight, and the controls are straightforward. I also didn't experience any heat build up or excessive vibration during use. It comes with all the necessary drill bits, as well as some that I have no idea what they are for. The included stand and clip make it easy to keep nearby, and the adjustable angle is helpful when you want it propped up instead of clipped on. Overall, this feels like another solid tool from a brand I already trust. It works smoothly, feels well made, and has more than enough power for shaping and removing gel. I am very happy with it.

If you're looking for a professional quality nail drill, stop searching because this is the one. MelodySusie absolutely knocked it out of the park with this drill! It has quickly become one of my favorite nail tools, and I honestly wish I had upgraded sooner. The power is incredible, yet it runs so smoothly with very little vibration, making it comfortable to use for long nail sessions. The adjustable speed gives you complete control whether you're shaping nails, removing gel polish, working with builder gel, or taking down acrylic. The battery life is outstanding, the display is easy to read, and I absolutely love the built in stand. It keeps everything organized and within reach, which makes such a difference during a manicure. I've used a lot of MelodySusie products over the years, and this brand continues to impress me. Their tools are consistently well made, reliable, and thoughtfully designed for both DIY nail lovers and professionals.
