This is a solid, sturdy, nice looking platform bed, offered with quite a few options in size, height and finish for a very reasonable price. We have a thick, really heavy Winkbed mattress (SO bulky and so heavy - an issue for various reasons - but SO darn comfortable) and needed something that could support the weight of this mattress. That was a big factor. But reading the reviews, it seemed that it would not be a nightmare to assemble, and it wasn’t. The packaging is really thoughtful. There is minimal styrofoam and what there is is cellophane-wrapped so it’s not messy. All of the pieces are well marked and labeled - even the spare parts they send are labeled - and the directions are clear. There’s an awesome little ratchet tool included too. This is a far cry from so many of the IKEA-like products out there. I’m super impressed with the planning and implementation put into this product and the bed itself is great too. It took two of us a little over an hour to put this king sized bed together - one mistake, we put a piece on backwards, but easily fixed (recommend reading all of the labels on the pieces). I love this bed frame - it perfectly suited what I wanted and met all expectations. It is very sturdy, well-made, and the assembly was very straightforward. It looks exactly like the pictures. In my opinion it’s not the “trendiest” looking bed but it’s a great value for the money, and it adds a nice clean minimalist appearance to my room. This bed makes me wish that I could give more than 5 stars to a product! I bought new mattresses recently for my boys and wanted to get them more than bed rails but not a full headboard set. I saw this and it fit exactly what I needed so I ordered 2. They arrived today (a day early!) and I started assembling them. The first thing I noticed was the fact that it was very well packaged. Absolutely nothing was damaged. When I got into the box, the two things I appreciated the most were 1) all the styrofoam pieces were wrapped in plastic. How many times I’ve had to vacuum my new pieces of furniture, floors, walls, and everything within a 15 foot radius.. is absurd. There were zero rouge styrofoam balls wandering around. And 2) this came with a ratcheting Allen wrench. I saved my hands from a lot of blisters during this process! The directions were completely clear, the hardware was nicely organized and labeled and every piece fit together flawlessly. There were no gaps, or forced together spots. It’s incredibly sturdy, very attractive and has a very clean appearance. I also LOVE that it takes the place of a box spring. It gives the whole bed a more balanced look. If I ever need anything like this again, I will 100% check with this company first! I cannot recommend this enough! ... show more

After buying a tallish mattress my bed was too high for my comfort. I dumped my box spring. This was a nice low replacement. It went together easily and even included a few extra nuts and bolts, all hardware and parts were well made and sturdy. The legs lap under the frame to provide solid support. Got the 16-inch version without a headboard. The product was high quality, made in Vietnam, and had good protective packaging (double heavy-duty cardboard boxed) for such a heavy item. The parts were well protected inside. The instructions were all graphic and very intuitive. It took me less than 30 minutes to put it together. It is very well-designed and manufactured. Everything fit like clockwork. It is very sturdy and solid. I do not feel any movement at all on the bed. There is plenty of space underneath the bed for vacuuming and for storage, which is one of the reasons I chose the 16-inch model. I am very happy with this purchase. ... show more

We've had to replace two metal bed frames in the past 6 years due to failure. We have a VERY heavy king latex mattress with a box spring and apparently the metal bed frames can't handle the weight--the previous frames squeaked, bent and failed to support the weight of the bed. After pouring over dozens of bed frames we opted to buy this one (even though we have a padded fabric headboard and this frame does not have a way to attach a headboard). Assembly was straightforward and simple. The frame is beautiful and matches all the wood in our bedroom. This bed frame has it all, lots of velcro keeps the support slats securely in place, rubber leg-end covers to keep it from sliding on our hardwood floor, a solid center support beam with three additional legs provide even more support. We LOVE it! We found a workaround for the headboard situation that works even better. We bought a 50" French Cleat wall hanger (also on Amazon) for our headboard so it can be mounted to the wall behind the bed and it works perfectly. Now we don't have the legs of the headboard gathering dust around them behind the bed...even better. There is plenty of clearance under the bed for six "under bed" plastic storage bins too, which was important to us as our old bed frames offered this extra storage space, which is needed for my overflowing shoe collection.
