  • FINAL UPDATE: IT IS KAPUT AFTER 2 WINTERS
Size: 20' x 10' Color: Green
Final Update: The second winter was hard on this greenhouse. One of the zippers failed and had to be replaced. Then, we had an electricity outage that lasted several days during an extreme cold snap. Everything died inside because my backup heater ran out of propane! Then, to heap insult on injury, the thing collected puddles during a rainstorm that collapsed the structure. It is a total loss after two years! Taking it apart for disposal, I note that many of the fasteners supplied are either broken, bent, or frozen with corrosion. Ah well, at least I got one hood winter out of it!!! Third Update: The whole kit and kaboodle survived summer storage. It is now set up and filled for its second winter season. I decided to permanently seal the Velcro windows to make it more airtight. This will help to minimize heat and water loss. Otherwise, it is the same as in my second update! Second UPDATE: After the first winter, I am still very pleased with this greenhouse. I did have to add a 3rd heater to maintain the inside temperature during the coldest winter nights. The modification I made to keep the plastic tight eliminated the problem with puddles/sagging. Now I have taken off the plastic cover and stored it for the summer to avoid damage from the strong Texas summer sun! I left the frame assembled and touched up a few rusty spots with Rustolium rusty metal primer! It will be good to go when the cool weather arrives again!!! UPDATE: After the first rain (only 0.2"), I found sags and puddles in the outside of the plastic cover. If there had been more rain, the greenhouse MAY have collapsed from the weight of the water. So, I reinforced the structure by adding a stiffener from end to end down the center (made of 1/2" PVC plastic pipe). Then, I covered all structural members with foam pipe insulation in order to stretch the plastic TIGHT! I used plastic tie wraps to connect the new center support to the existing structural ribs. See the added pictures above. Next time it rains, we will see if this solves the problem!!! ORIGINAL REVIEW: For the money, I am PLEASED by this greenhouse. I built the structure first (facing with the ends toward the normal wind direction), placed all my potted plants inside, then installed the plastic cover. Note that I used my own tie downs for the structure made of bent 1/4" reinforcing rods because the provided tie downs are flimsy). Before installing the cover, I installed two thermostatically controlled electric heaters and a remote reading thermometer inside the structure. With the cover installed, I sealed the bottom with dirt all around, using a sandbag to allow easy access through one side of the door. I also used spray adhesive and clear packing tape to seal the grommet holes to minimize air/heat leakage. Shortly after the greenhouse was completed, the wind rose to 40 mph with rain. Then the temperature dropped overnight to 21F. My plants stayed toasty inside. In the morning as the sun was coming up, I used my thermal leak detector to survey the exterior of the greenhouse (21F outside, 45F inside) - NO LEAKS!!! After the sun began heating it, the inside temperature began to rise while the electric heaters were off. I don't know how it will last (durability) but I am EXCEPTIONALLY PLEASED with it's initial performance. I have purchased a portable propane heater, just in case of a power failure!!! ... show more

  • Poor quality, but can work with reinforcements. Decent customer service.
Size: 20' x 10' Color: White
May 20, 2021 update: Customer service was very responsive and had a replacement greenhouse in the mail by the end of that week, arriving the following Wednesday. It's hanging out in the garage right now while it waits for us to have time to put it up.. Also, 3 upright arches from the previous greenhouse are still in decent shape, so we're going to try to add it to the end of the new greenhouse, making it 30'x10' instead of 20'x10'. We're also going to run more wire across the top to prevent pooling. When we get it all put together and tested out, I'll take pictures and update this review on more time. Adjusting this to 4 stars currently because of how responsive customer service was (less then 24 hours for a response) and how quickly they got a second greenhouse to my home. April 29, 2021 update: We had a very moderate rainfall and the whole greenhouse completely caved in! Unsure yet what all has been lost.. I dont have time before work to sort through the wreckage and fine out, but I know the losses are likely heavy. We had 16 tomato plants, 6 cucumbera, multiple squash.. I had also just moved dome of our container fruit bearing bushes in.. I'm devistated. Contacted seller and waiting to see if they will assist at all. Will update. This is my new favorite thing I've bought off Amazon! It's the best. Easy to assemble if you can follow a simple diagram and really nice and spacious! We bought a 25'×15' tarp to stake down for flooring and lined the outside with rocks to hold the cover down. It's great! We had gusts of 35mph yesterday and with the door and vent windows open to relieve some pressure it made it through like a champ. Only suggestion I would make for improvement would be to make the screens in the vent windows removable so I can give pollinators like honey bees more options to enter/exit then just the front door. Or, make the back have a door so I can open it to pass through. :) ... show more

  • Glad I made the investment, but NOT without modifications
Size: 20' x 10' Color: Green
As with any purchase, I always read the reviews. Like with most products there are both good and bad reviews. It's all in what is important to the buyer as to what they want out of the product. I purchased 2 of these greenhouses to extend my gardening season and to control watering (not over watering from excessive rain). I took recommendations/ideas from other reviews to make structures sturdier as I didn't feel confident they would withstand storms once completed. I assembled both greenhouses by myself and both at the same time rather then one after the other. It would have gone much smoother and taken half the time with two people. Instructions were ok, but could have been clearer on points that had 3 poles meeting and bolting all together (found myself unbolting several times to add third or supporting pole). Otherwise, construction wasn't bad, but does take some common sense. I wanted more height for tomato plants and more stability to frame, so I zip tied the base to cinder blocks. The cover was loose and sagged on top allowing for water to pool. To fix this, I placed a couple 8' tomato stakes in v-shape in the end and middle with a connecting joint to hold another stake horizontally down center like the support poles in kit. Worked like a charm in down pour with no water pooling on top! I did also put pipe insulation around poles where covers were loose to fill it out along upper sides. Greenhouses stays on average 20-30 degrees warmer when doors and windows are closed up. Bottom line - I am happy with my purchase and feel it was well worth the investment. I didn't give 5 stars as I felt it did need modifying to be confident in stability. ... show more
