I've purchased Melissa & Doug dyo products before for the little ones and the kids really seemed to enjoy it. I've painted one myself as well and I had fun participating with the kids. This piggy is a bank and it certainly is cute but won't hold much in the way of money as it is tiny. This will be more for the fun of decorating as opposed to using as a bank. My kids enjoyed painting these and I was glad to get them piggy banks that was also a craft (love crafts the kids will actually use afterward!). My only issue is that they''re really, really small. After a couple of dollar bills and only a small handful of loose change, they'll be stuffed. (One gift of bills from a well meaning relative or the tooth fairy and there's not much space left--even with no bills it will only hold about an adult handful of coins). So for actual bank purposes, it's not convenient, but the kids like them and are proud to have painted them. ... show more

I can easily wrap my hand around this whole piggy bank - it is so teeny! Was expecting a piggy bank for my daughter that she could decorate and actually put her money into. This is more something for an American Girl 18” doll.

Pros: - it's a cute craft project - adding the bright paints, brush & stickers is genius Cons: - don't be deceived by the cute box, there is only one bank inside - it's ashame they include so little paint - the biggest issue is the smallest: despite measuring out the dementions, I was shocked how teeny it was. It would never fit bills (that you could get out again) & I am not sure how many coins it would even hold Might work well for a kid that just wants an art project (that holds some pennies ;) ... show more
