used this for a piece of furniture that was supposed to have a back but i left it open. needed the banding to finish off the rough edge of the press wood. ironed it on and it worked as well as can be expected. it was a little wider than i thought so i now need to buy an band edge trimmer. only issue i had was this stank while i ironed it. i had to take a couple of breaks to complete my small project just to breathe. either do this outdoors or in a well ventilated area.

It was easy to get on. I taped the edges to hold it in placed then used a hairdryer to warm it up to stick down. Rather than buy expensive shelving, we used sheets of melamine cut to fit the closets and finished them off with these melamine strips. Saved lots of money doing this and it looks great. A word of caution, however, it is brittle and will break easily so handle with care!

Product works great for flat edges but is not flexible as stated. It's quite brittle and have to be careful handling it so it doesn't break.

I have worked in the cabinet making business so I know what melamine edge banding is like. This product is NOT melamine it IS paper. YES! PAPER. Very fragile paper. I was stuck between a rock and a hard place otherwise I would have returned it. In applying this, a loop inadvertently ended up in the loose end and just the weight of the "banding" tore the paper. Fortunately the project was small enough that I had more than double the amount needed and I was able to complete the application. For applications longer than a foot be sure to have at least one helper, two if you can. Better still get a real melamine product, Not this PAPER product.
