I ordered two of these for some plumbing valve(s) access. They are higher quality than what can usually be found at the local box stores. The hinges are a plus for sure. Given one of them was installed to allow access to a main water shut-off, I installed a knob handle given opening them in an emergency could be a worry given you need a flat head screwdriver or similar to open. I bought this to cover my pipe and valve in the wall that connects to my spigot outside. It fit perfectly. The plastic door does come out of the hinge too easily. It's easy to take the door off but it will come off if you just have it open. They should have made it a bit better. You can pop the door open with a coin or screwdriver. It serves my purpose because I don't use the valve except in winter / spring to shut the water on and off. If you put this somewhere that is frequently used then this may not work as the door will keep coming all the way off when opened because the hindged area doesn't hold it in the groove well. I'm not painting this as it's in a closet..but they have it textured so it seems like if painted it would blend well with the existing wall. ... show more
