I bought this for my Halloween makeup but decided to try it with my everyday makeup. It works wonderfully!! I work in a restaurant and it is sweat proof! After a 10 hour shift my makeup looked freshly applied! The only thing I don't care for is the smell..it's odd..not horrible just odd. The smell doesn't last long though and I did fan my face to get it to dry quicker. I do recommend holding the bottle about 10 inches from your face because it BLASTS out!! I expected a fine mist...it is not! Love that it acts as both primer and finishing spray. It is a shiny finish and even putting a face powder on over it does not help to matify it. I kinda like the dewey look anyways. I like this so much I decided to get the subscription!!

Does it work? Absolutely!! Does not irritate my skin which in itself is quite the accomplishment. Worked equally as well with airbrush makeup to help prolong, and prevent against crackling and smearing. Lasts much long than i thought it would.

Purchased this to help keep my Halloween makeup on and it worked very well. I’ve used other popular makeup setting sprays but wanted something that would work well with more theatrical makeup looks. Great price point for the amount you get and the product performance. I only used it after makeup to set and not before and my makeup lasted well over 6 hours without smudging or creasing. I even used it as a mixed medium for water based face and body paint makeup. The product does have a very strong scent so if you have sensitive skin I would advice doing a patch test. The scent is so strong it feels as though it may sting if it gets in your eye. I didn’t get a reaction to it and the smell didn’t get to me as I only used it for special looks not my everyday makeup. A con for me would be the way It sprays out. The mist is not fine and almost splatters. I don’t know if it was my bottle or if they’re al like that but definitely felt like I need to spray more of it to even coat my face. I found I had to fan it dry too.

So I have become a bit of connoisseur of setting sprays over the course of the pandemic, in search of the perfect spray that won't make my face feel tight but also make my makeup transfer proof. I have a dark scar on my nose that I like to cover up which becomes problematic when you're taking a face mask on and off all day, and I also have deep set eyes and want to prevent eyeshadow and eyeliner transfer. LET ME TELL YOU, this stuff made my makeup freaking BULLET PROOF. Tried it when I was at an outdoor event in DC in the middle of summer. This spray made my makeup last from early morning through the summer heat, humidity, rain, taking my mask on and off, and I even slept in it (Don't judge, I was exhausted). I was floored the next morning when I looked in the mirror and my makeup was damn near perfect! No makeup transfer to the white sheets! Color me impressed! I will say though, unless you're a masochist make sure not to get any in your eyes as the alcohol in it will really burn. That said, I spray after concealer and foundation, once it's dry set with powder, and finally spritz one last time before I'm out the door. My makeup doesn't look cakey, and that tight feeling you may feel once it dries goes away quickly. I also don't get those extra wrinkles around your eyes and mouth that you get sometimes get with other sprays where your skin feels a little glued. All around the finish looks natural and this product actually performs beautifully. 10 out of 10

I have been a fan of Ben Nye Final Seal for several years but after recent store closures, its no longer available for purchase in my area. I came across Mehron during a recent search and purchased a small bottle to try. I loved it and came back for the refill size! The smell and feel of this product is similar to Ben Nye. It kind of smells like mouthwash and can leave your skin feeling tight (if you overdo it). A couple a quick sprays in the morning and my makeup stays put all day. Whether I am using liquid, stick or powder foundation it works. It does not leave spots on your skin (spray a few inches for your face) and dries quickly. I have also used it to apply glitter eye shadows and minimize fallout (rinse your brush after use or the bristles will get hard). Lastly, it works as a great primer before applying makeup. This has become one of my makeup staples, especially in the coming summer months when setting spray is a must.
