If you are a car enthusiasts and like to keep your paint looking it's best, then you need this system. It was recommended to me by a professional and it has been worth every penny. With absolutely no experience, I used this system on 3 different vehicles this summer and had amazing results. The product does not dry out nearly as fast as others do during the process which is half of the battle. It is very forgiven and easy to work with. My first time using it was on black paint, which can visually show mistakes. I had no issues even with no experience. Take your time, do it right with these products and you will not be disappointed. It brings back the depth in the color, brightens faded paint and removes swirling. I will always have this on hand. ... show more

  • Solid well built DA polisher
Style: Speed Polisher
I really love the soft start, other polishers start with such a jerk they can pull you off course.

  • Worked great on a neglected 2015 Dodge Charger Dark Metallic Blue
Style: Starter Kit
Used this kit with a Porter Cable 7424XP. My current job gave me a low mileage 2015 Dodge charger in Dark Metallic Blue to use as my daily work car. Unfortunately, this car was used as a loaner vehicle when other cars in the fleet needed service. That meant it rarely was washed and would sit on the roof of a parking garage for months at a time. The paint itself had tons of etched in waterspots and microscratches from being run through unmaintained auto carwashes. I used this kit along with Chemical Guys medium clay to first prep the surface and remove some of the contaminants. The compound went on easy with my DA set at 5 and came off easy with chemical guys microfiber towels. I made three passes in ft squares on each panel, which took a very long time. I then followed with the included polish wax that was included. All in all, I spent 6 to 8 hours working over three days as I had free time. All the water spots came out without issue and the paint is as slick as can be. A lot of compliments from people that see the car. After the first wash, I used the Meguires Hybrid Ceramic Spray wax which made the paint pop even more. Kit is good for the price and the apron actually helped keep my clothes from getting ruined by the wax when applying it. ... show more

  • No more fine scratches
Style: Starter Kit
I used this in conjunction with the dual action rotary tool, also from Meguiars. It removed oxidation from my boat tower and fine scratches from my car and truck hoods. Prior to purchasing this kit, I had never used a rotary. Amazing results, highly recommend. Just follow the simple instructions and you will be pleased. ... show more

  • Wonderful polisher, but expensive for a 8mm throw DA.
Style: Speed Polisher
I bought this to replace my other DA polisher from Harbor Freight, so most of this review will be a comparison to that. I don't have any other DA polishers to compare it to, though. Pros: + Weight: it is VERY light, and this saves my back after a day of polishing. My other DA weighs about a pound more. + Smoothness: I don't get any weird vibrations from this and it keeps the DA from "walking" on you to a minimum. + Noise: it's quiet, especially compared to my other DA. + Trigger lock: incredibly helpful! It took me a minute (longer, actually) to realize that you hold down the trigger lock button and then release the trigger to get it to engage. This was going to be a con before I realized I was dumb and fixed my user error. + Soft start: I like having this feature so I don't sling stuff everywhere since I'm not a pro. The soft start would be a problem if I hadn't figured out the trigger lock since sometimes you have to switch hands while using it, but with the lock I can start it one time and let it run. + Rotary grip: I definitely prefer the extended rotary style grip, especially when using it on tall trucks and SUVs. Cons: - Digital Torque Management: it works, but even with using the thinnest pads on the market you'll still have to adjust your technique to get rotation. Cars have so many curves these days that it takes some practice to get it right. It just won't spin on some of the nooks and crannies, though. - Value: there are other cheaper, more powerful 8mm throw DAs out there (Griot's, HF), or even a longthrow in the same price range (Adam's) if you want to go that route. And Meguiar's has a shorter warranty than Griot's or Adam's. - I hope I never get the power cord issue that a few people had, but I know Meguiar's will take care of me. Summary: The Meguiar's MT300 is a huuuge step up over my HF polisher and it's not even close. I would typically feel exhausted and very sore at the end of the day, but the MT300 makes it that much better for me. Everything about this polisher is better than my other one. It's value may be questionable compared to some others, so you'll just have to find a price range and feature list that is acceptable for you. Overall, though, I absolutely enjoy this polisher! ... show more

  • Incredible Results
Style: Starter Kit
I used the ⬆️ Maguire's detailing products together with a shine mate orbital buffer using 2 microfiber buffer heads (1 for the orange compound and 1 for the polishing wax). Before applying the ⬆️ Maguire's detailing products I drove through my local brushless car wash and then wiped it down with microfiber cloths from Sam’s. I followed the instructions and an amazed with the finish. I was able to get out oxidation and scuffs that I would’ve sworn more permanent. Even the roof looks great, and it was so oxidized you could barely see the blue paint. Even better was the ⬆️ orange correction compound is MUCH easier to work with than comparable high-end detailing products. I had zero issues with messing up my paint. If the ⬆️ orange compound starts gumming up on the paint chances are good you should change pads. As others have said it is important to 1) really shake up the bottles before use 2) don’t apply very much product on the pad (4 quarter sized dollops goes a loooong way 3) let the orbital machine do the work…as it turns its breaking down the product which is key to results and be able to get it off easily 4) plan to use a bunch of microfibers. .
