I ordered this after seeing that Schecter Guitars suggested it as a cleaner for multiple finishes on their guitars. I was not happy with the Dunlop products and gave this a try. I am also an auto enthusiast and know the rich history of Barry Meguiar's products so I knew this would serve me well for the car also. This removes smudges and some minor defects in gloss guitar tops and provides a nice and smooth layer of shine and protection which shoes off the quilt and tiget stripe tops of guitars. I apllied it to a small microfiber towel and used it the same way I would on a car hood and it works really well and is unabrasive. Like most Meguiars products, it is easy to remove the product from steel, aluminum and plastic ifmeeded, which helps alot with guitars. I use it on all of my gloss finish guitars and it makes the mahogany and ash woods shine like no other guitar spray. The same is likely for the car also. My car is black and I will try this after a good waxing expecting to see the same results. ... show more

I bought this solely for the tank and fenders on my Harley. I have other products I use on the chrome and black powder-coated parts. I wipe my bike down daily and probably clean and polish it once a week or as needed. I don't let water anywhere near the bike because water spots get into hard to reach places that are a pain to clean. My painted parts are all covered with 3M Xcel scratch protectant film. I have an Xcel polish/filler I use about every 6 weeks. So I got this to add some shine to the parts in between the major polishing. It seems to work ok but it's hard to tell. I keep my bike pretty polished at all times. What I don't like is the consistency. I find it too watery. It seems to just spread around and bead up. Could be the 3M film but once it's wiped off and buffed with a microfiber, it seems to shine a bit more. Anyway, it certainly can't hurt so I'll give it a marginal 4 stars. ... show more

This is a great painted surface detail product, I've been using it for years. I bought this bottle to keep in our new Accord to clean grackle crap off after parking in a lot (unavoidable in central Texas) It's also great for leaning compound off after rubbing and compound sling off plastic parts, etc. Good for lubricating an overspray clay bar, too. It dries a little too slowly for me to recommend as a whole-car spongebath, as you'll need a bunch of cloths to dry it off, best left for spot cleaning or compound cleanup. ... show more

As a quick detailer, it can be used many ways. You can safely use it to remove residue on all types of surfaces. Rubber and plastics, glass, etc. It works as a great clay bar lubricant, and is really inexpensive. After a wash and dry, it is easily sprayed on and wiped off with a microfiber towel, and provides an excellent finish!
