I truly expected to pay much more for this well-crafted, high quality case. I should have bought it a long time ago. It protects the camera while giving you a perfect hand feel. Much better than the L-bars and cages in my opinion.

I love this case. It's nearly perfect. The only thing I don't like is that the 1/4 20 bolt on the bottom that screws into the camera, isn't permanently attached to the case. So if you take the case off, there's a good chance the bolt goes flying off when you set it down. I bought two more just in case I lose it. ... show more

This is a great case if your looking to get away from a bag. I was between this an a neoprene equivalent. I picked this because it has more structural support and would hold its own being thrown into a backpack. The cover does detach from the base leather piece but you need to work with the snaps to break them in. Weathering paint was used on yhe buckles, so once that film has been worked off. It gets noticibly easier to un snap. What I want to get used to, in casual situations, be able to snap shots with the cover still attached. I may uodate if it’s not a great option. I like the vintage look and function of this leather ever-ready case. I got the tan leather to accentuate that, and because worn and scuffed tan leather looks better than worn and scuffed black leather. Points to note: this kit does include a strap, albeit a thin leather one. I did not see a strap anywhere in the description so I ordered the Sierra Series strap and it is a nicer strap and I ended up using it. I probably would not have ordered it if I had known that the case came with a (thinner) leather strap. The case covers the kit lens but not the 16-55mm f2.8 zoom. It doesn't fit my Rokinon 12mm f2 but it does fit my Laowa 8mm and my vintage 50mm lenses (ie. Zeiss Planar 50mm f1.7) with adapter. It doesn't fit the Tamron SP 90mm f2.5. ... show more
