The durable ribbed outsole is self cleaning for stability on slick sidewalks, and it also wraps around the boot for extra grip. These neoprene boots have a back tab and wide opening that make them easy to pull on and off without fuss, while the inner PM Mesh lining keeps active feet cool and dry. These kids' boots are easy to match with just about any outfit. The story began in 1999 with the sole purpose of building the most comfortable, high performance footwear on the market. I wear a woman's size 6.5 - 7 D. Often I get a 7 to be sure it's wide enough. Therefore, children's size 5 generally fits me quite well, particularly since D width is hard to find in women's shoes, whereas children's shoes are normally D width. These fit me very comfortably in a size 5, with room for a thicker winter sock if I want it. However, a thin sock has been fine in this boot so far, and that includes doing horse farm chores in the snow. I don't know why reviewers are saying these are small. I originally ordered a size 6 because of that, and they were so ridiculously huge, I was walking out of them, and they were pulling all my socks down. I couldn't return them, because I had already worn them to the farm, so I gave them to a friend. These size 5s are perfect. They have good traction, my feet feel warm working in the snow for an hour or two, and I will order them again when these wear out. ... show more

I am an adult woman who wears a size 7.5-8 in women's sizes. I have been wanting a pair of Muck boots for a couple of years (my boys have had them for several years), but just could not bring myself to buy them because of the price. I tried on children's size boots in a local store (where the price was still $70.00). Got on Amazon, and much to my delight, found these adorable boots for $36.00! They are warm, dry, and everything I was hoping for! If you are an adult, and on the fence with these, don't hesitate to buy them! I purchased a big kid's size 7. They can accomodate a thicker sock, but I have worn them mostly with bare feet to run out and fill the outdoor wood stove. My feet do not slide around and are very warm! ... show more

    • my son loves wearing rubber boots
My son's last pair of boots had to be retired so I found these for him. He liked the look of them. Out of the box they look good. They are more form fitting than the typical rubber boots. The calf part is a stretchy neoprene like material. It is solidly constructed. They have really good treads for good traction. My son has a wide thick foot and usually requires XW shoes, but he wears these just fine. He does have a little difficulty getting them on and off though. He has to wiggle his foot back and forth at the ankle part of the boot. They are snug on his feet but he likes them and wanted to keep them. He wears his everywhere, everyday and he comments often that his feet are hot and sweating. They have not leaked. The only time he has gotten water in his boots is when he plays with the hose. ... show more

    • Well-built, great shoes
we were replacing Hatley rain boots that didn't even make it a year before getting a hole. These are really well made, the sole has sufficient flexibility for ages 4+ and lots of traction. They seem warm, a good and bad thing (probably no good june-September but we will get cheapies for then). Overall we are pleased. They fit nicely and will not come off while running. My son is size 11.5, the 12 fit perfectly with a bit of room. I would not go down in size or up significantly in these, just round up from half sizes. We got the green/blue and the color is really nice. I am a little jealous and want a pair myself ;) ... show more
