  • We love it
The first one they sent me lasted two days. The fan just completely stopped working. I was able to send it back completely free and received another one right away. I have had my replacement for a few months now. I use it every night and during my babies mid day naps for sound control. I love it. Worth the price. I haven’t had any issues with it. I’m reading to spend the (what I thought was a ridiculous price) money on a new filter when this one is done, because honestly it’s amazing and I can’t see life without it anymore. I’m glad I got it. The ONLY negative would be. I was very excited to hang it on the wall because two small kids - however the way the cord is, I cannot plug it into the outlet behind the machine. I don’t know how others have it like that?? It’s a new outlet and I plug my tv into it etc. There’s like no room for the cord and the machine. I wish they could make the plug flat you know like other appliances , toaster oven etc. That would make this product the BEST. I’m hoping in the future they can make a more flatter/smaller plug. If so I’ll order another wall unit for my sons room. For now he has the table top one. I like it too. Great sound on medium for sleeping. ... show more

  • Great Unit for a Tight Space
We needed an air filter in our upstairs hallway. This tucked in nicely in the small section of wall that had an outlet (small enough that the unit overlapped the trim on the adjacent doors a bit, which worked fine because of the way this unit mounts to the wall). I love that it’s off the floor, which makes cleaning much easier. There are no cords on the ground for people to trip on and it’s mounted high enough to clear the footplate of my wheelchair so I don’t have to worry about hitting it when I turn around. We have it set on automatic most of the time, and the air sensor does seem to work. The air quality is noticeably better than before. I wish the filters were less expensive, and that there was a separate carbon prefilter. It’s more expensive to run it than similar units that sit on the floor. Still, if you need something that mounts on the wall, the higher price is worth it, in my opinion. ... show more

  • Unique design, poor reliability and a company that does not stand behind their products
Color: White
First things first - if you're like me and were looking for a low profile, wall mounted air purifier, this is just about your only option on the market today. There is the RabbitAir MinusA2, but at nearly $600 it's in a price point that discourages most. That's what lead me to purchase 3 of these, and unfortunately what lead to my disappointment and one star review. Let's talk about the good: * Design is good - not great - but the unique wall mount does genuinely save space and looks good while doing it. The mounting system could have been much better than the odd 3 point screw mount but it does what it needs to. * Air monitor seems to work and the auto mode kicks up reliably when smoke from cooking starts to make its way over. Now the bad: * Design flaws - as noted in numerous other reviews, these units develop a buzzing sound in the top corner even while the unit is completely off. It's loud enough to disturb sleep and inexplicable given that it is not coming from the fan, I suspect defective internal power supplies may be to blame. * Replacement media is expensive and Medify does not enjoy the large variety of aftermarket replacements that bigger brands have. * The remotes are all on the same channel and seemingly have great range, which would be a plus if you don't have multiple units - if you do, you'll find that turning one off will turn all the others off by accident. * They do not stand behind their products - after one of my three units developed the buzzing noise, I submitted a warranty request given their lifetime warranty, I hoped they would make things right - these are not cheap and when paying for a premium product I presume that part of that cost is to ensure a high level of support. Unfortunately, all they do is look for a way to avoid standing behind their product - the issue I had has nothing to do with filter media (it happens when the damn thing is completely turned off but plugged in...) but they still insist documentation of all filter purchases and will only honor the warranty if they are from Medify directly. That wasn't a problem for me given the lack of aftermarket options, but a harbinger of what was to come. My issue was that the specific unit in question was purchased open box from Amazon warehouse (and worked perfectly for 6 months, so it had nothing to do with how it was sold or a factory defect) and they outright rejected any claims because of that. Never mind that I could have submitted the receipt from one of the units I purchased new, I conduct my business honestly and can't fathom what difference that makes given it was sold new by the authorized retailer (Amazon), returned new in box and was sold again, by Amazon. If you must purchase one of these, whatever you do, do not buy on Amazon warehouse, used from another source or new from a retailer that is not Medify themselves because it will eventually fail and they will not honor their warranty. ... show more

  • Nice Unit (if wall-mounted is a must). Pricey (but quality) Replacement Media. Minor Design Flaws. Nice Unit (if wall-mounted is a must). Pricey (but quality) Replacement Media. Minor Design Flaws.
Color: White
OVERALL: Nice little unit overall. Lady-of-the-House's first comment was "it's pretty" (although she later took exception to the eye-catching display). It is physically a bit smaller than I would have guessed from the pictures (had I not looked at the dimensions), making the Clean Air Delivery Rating (CADR) of 290 fairly impressive. WALL-MOUNTED vs FLOOR STANDING: Wall-mounted units do not allow the same kind of flexibility as a floor-standing unit if you are looking to supplement filtration and disturb air-flow in a setting needing additional air cleaning for the current pandemic (i.e. school, office, etc.), but it is a nicer aesthetic option for most homes (certainly not the bang-for-the-buck of a floor-mounted unit either). FILTRATION MEDIA QUALITY: H13 filtration is nice as most similar filters are H11 (minimum standard for "HEPA" labelling). The media is “nice” and has a foam seal to prevent bypass, but also appears to be fairly plastic-heavy, thus I did inquire as to the availability of a recycling program from the manufacturer (will update on bottom of review). The pre-filter is attached to the HEPA and there isn’t any separate low-MERV pre-filter to extend the HEPA life, thus requiring that all be replaced at the Prefilter interval (3k hours or 6 months per Operating Manual) DESIGN: Good design overall, but one minor (but annoying) flaw is that the unit's plug is not low-profile, meaning that mounting directly over a standard non-recessed electrical outlet (certainly the cleanest-looking method of installation is not possible without a low-profile 90-degree adapter). It's a tiny thing, but a real nuisance that feels like a not-insubstantial design oversight for an other-wise very well-put-together unit. The lights on the side are large and constantly in motion (not elegant if visible in a nicer room) and unfortunately there is no button to dim these without also putting the fan into hibernation. LIFECYCLE COST OF OWNERSHIP: High. Be sure to investigate replacement filter options and gauge your comfort level with operating costs. Because this unit uses a post-HEPA carbon filter and integrated pre-filter, rather than using a Carbon-Impregnated Filter (or another) as a less-expensive-than-HEPA mid-efficiency pre-filter, all must be replaced concurrently. The replacement media is roughly $75 (with a 2-to-3-times-a-year recommended replacement interval) whereas some other Original Equipment Manufacturer filters of reasonable quality--albeit with H11 HEPA rating--are available for as little as ~$45 a pack (including 4 Carbon (pre)filters needed for quarterly replacement and 1 HEPA for annual replacement). Using this anecdotal example, annual cost of ownership is $150/yr versus $45 from other manufacturers. Main question will be if the higher HEPA rating is really worth it for your circumstance...it's definitely not for ours, but I wanted to test the unit to see how it compared to others we use in our home and the more professional medical grade units we use in business. ISSUES: First unit had a slight occasional rattle from the fan section (right out of the box). Emailed Manufacturer service and was very impressed as to James’ responsiveness. (3 email responses within 2 hours). It turned out the Fulfilled by Amazon order would be exchanged through Amazon and this was quickly handled as well. No issues whatsoever with the second unit. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR MANUFACTURER: Other than those above, some type of scheduling capability, preferably on-off and fan speed (or at least a memory which would allow the unit to automatically start in its latest setting for use with plug control in light commercial applications) would be a massive improvement, especially during COVID times. RATING: Originally had the unit pegged at 3.5 stars (reasonably well built for a value unit, pricey even compared to similar products from the same manufacturer, but fills a niche with the wall-mounting, expensive to operate in residential setting) but the rattle leaned me toward 3 stars. In light of the great responsiveness from their call center, I’m going to bump it to 4 stars in consideration of their post-sale support. Response from Manufacturer regarding filter recycling program (3/19/2021): “I regret to inform you that we don't have a recycling program yet but we are working on it.“ ... show more

  • Works great! Works great!
Color: White
This filter works very well, and with the wall mount is out of the way. It is sleek enough that it doesn’t stand out and the low setting is almost silent. I installed an outlet high up on the wall that is behind the unit so no cord hangs down. In the auto mode when it detects poor air quality it increases the fan then turns back to low when air quality is improved. I have been using it for a couple months now and have had no problems with it. I am in Florida and the pollen is really thick, for the last few years I have had terrible allergies. The tree pollen which runs February to April somehow gets in the house. Before I started using air purifier I could not get away from it. Running this unit all day has made my living room and allergy free zone. I have a Honeywell that runs in my bedroom that doesn’t work as well and is very loud even on the lowest setting. The only issue I have with purifier is the price and the price of the replacement filters. I paid around $350 for it and I purchased one extra replacement filter and it was about $70. The filters are not washable and I don’t think I will get 6 months out of a filter. I haven’t had to replace the filter yet but it is almost solid yellow with pollen all ready. If the price was lower I would definitely buy a couple more of these. If your looking for a quiet wall mounted unit and can afford it, I would say yes I definitely recommend this air purifier. ... show more

  • Robust filtration, good customer service
Purchased one of these for our craft & 3D printer room. I bought the unit when it was on-sale. Installation was simple for mounting to the wall. The unit is quiet overall when operating and the display tells you the status of the room which is nice I think. About 4-5 months into using it, one day the fans stopped working. I contacted their support and did some reasonable troubleshooting with them and provided a video of what was happening and they ended up replacing the defective unit for free under warranty which I really appreciate. Have not had any issues with the replacement so far and we're happy with the product. ... show more

  • Nice looking, comes with wall hanger, but does not stay set to desired settings Nice looking, comes with wall hanger, but does not stay set to desired settings
Color: White
I purchased this for my home 3dp/cnc/laser workshop. I have many air filters in my home, home office, office, laboratory, and vacation homes. I chose this specific one due to the flat wall mounted design and because it comes with a wall mount. The product arrived at a medium pace, definitely not the fastest, but not the slowest either... however it was packed nicely to ensure safe transport. The air filter comes with a metal wall mount which is nice. Most other units that say they can be wall mounted do not come with a wall mount. I like that the product looks the part... but that is as much praise as I can give this product. It comes with a remote control but I to press buttons several times before the air filter recognizes it. In order for the air filter to recognize any button presses I have to be close enough to the unit that I might as well just press the button on the side of the unit itself. The air filter unit is very light weight. Due to the light weight and the metal mount, there is an annoying vibration noise that resonates from the air filter when turned on fan setting 2 or 3. The product should come with some foam strips to prevent this vibrational noise. My biggest gripe is how often the unit shuts off, or lowers the fan without any reason. I have triple checked that I did not have "Auto" setting turned on. Sometimes the unit just shuts off completely. This can't be an "auto" setting issue. For the much higher than average cost for an air filter and due to the unit constantly changing speeds or shutting off entirely on its own, I cannot recommend this unit to others. ... show more
