Damn, this thing is small. But, that being said, it works perfectly. The PS button is in an awkward spot (at the bottom of the face) but we still use it everyday and is easier for TV stuff than the PS5 game remote.

This remote is awesome. I have a Samsung TV for the last 4 or 5 years and since day one, the Samsung remote didn't work well. You have to stand in specific places for it to connect to the tv and it's like you have to wait for the tv to do whatever before pushing the next button. I got the PS5 remote primarily to watch shows or movies on my PS5. The option to be able to use it for my tv was just a bonus. But since I've had it, about 24 hours now, the PS5 remote works better on my tv than the remote that came with it! I don't have to even point the remote in the direction of the tv and it still does what I need to do immediately. Every time I turn the tv on using the Samsung remote, it defaults to Samsung TV channels and because the remote doesn't connect well, takes some time to select source and switch to PS5. Sometimes the volume is up from the night before and the Samsung remote doesn't respond to volume or mute buttons for several seconds when you first turn it on. ( I'm sure my neighbors love that.) But with this PS remote, when I turn the tv on, it automatically takes me to PS5 screen/source and responds to the mute or volume buttons immediately. The PS remote is small but it does what more than what I need it to do. The Samsung remote is larger but I appreciate that the PS remote buttons aren't as small as the ones on my Samsung remote and they feel intuitive. The Samsung remote has never felt intuitive, even after owning it for 4 or 5 years. I love my Samsung tv but they got to do better with the remotes. We have had 2 of these Samsung tvs and both remotes respond (or don't respond) the same way. I'm surprised that my satisfaction for this remote is less about the PS5 and more about the remote in general. And I'm willing to bet it even costs less than the price of replacing the Samsung remote if I needed to. The only things I'll say that might be cons is there is a weird curve to the back of the remote, it feels strange in my hand. I'm sure I'll get used to it. It's like Apple's Magic Mouse. Feels weird in your hand, like it should be bulkier or something. And the other, I had to be careful not to break the back plate off. The little push button on the back to get to the battery compartment doesn't work well. It took a few minutes to get it off and then a few minutes to put it back on. That's really a minimal issue though because how often will I be going into the battery compartment?! If you're reading this, just be careful not to break it. ... show more

A lot of mix reviews on this remote. But I decided to purchase it anyways & the remote has been working great. I wanted to have the remote so I don’t always have to use my gaming controller to just watch TV. Before I was using a Roku box but it messed up my TV every time I turned it on it would glitch out my TV. So now my PS5 is what I use to watch TV/Streaming Apps. It’s been a few days & the remote still works great. I looks very nice & does feel more cheaper compared to the material used for the PS5 gaming controller but it is just a remote so it’s not that serious. It looks very nice though. Connected very well to my Samsung tv. Highly recommend. If anyone is having problems with theirs try switching out the batteries. Usually remotes won’t work properly if the batteries are old. ... show more

Simple, convenient, and gets the job done. It eats batteries for some reason and will not work properly with low quality batteries or batteries that are close to being dead but not completely empty and the button to release the battery cover is impossible to press with your fingers. You have to use a small screwdriver or something similar to press the button to release the cover. But works as a good child proof cover because of this. The battery issue is my only reason for not giving it 5 stars. ... show more

Great remote. Decent size, functional, and easy to pair with the PS5. It is nice to not have to use the controller if I don’t want to game and just want to watch Netflix or navigate to Spotify in a jiffy.

I like to use this for watching Netflix it’s much more convenient than using the ps5 dual sense controller. For some reason it seems the volume buttons don’t work which kinda sucks. It kinda has too many buttons. The navigation buttons do the same thing as the play pause buttons or the reverse and fast forward buttons. If you use the ps5 for streaming a lot it’s probably worth it otherwise you might want to skip it. Update: so I really wish this came with a built in re-chargeable battery because after only two months I’ve had to replace the batteries it started with the volume buttons not working then the power button and the tv on off button. This thing is power hungry and it’s only using two AA batteries which kinda sucks. ... show more
