I love this level. To be fair, most of the levels I have ever owned are of the less than $20.00 variety. The main level I use for anything broke, so I needed a new one. So, since I'm doing more stuff around the house and some woodworking, I thought I'd get one that is a step up from the basic level. I chose this one and I love it. It is well made, sturdy, accurate, easy to use, strong magnetic base, and has the capacity to set a relative reference. Good price too. Strongly recommend.

I purchased both the 2' and 4' models of this level and haven't had the chance to use them on a job yet but after playing with them for a while I'm impressed. Of course these are not inexpensive tools so you'd expect quality at this price point but they seem well built (heavier than expected, which suggests solid construction) and intuitive operation. I like the bubble vials, they look high end and very functional, and rubber end caps and in the hand holds. I'm a residential remodeler so the magnet feature means little to me. The case seems very well made too and should offer moderate protection during transport. It looses a star for the 3 minute auto shut-off that should be programable (it's not) and the beeb function could be louder. If I'm under an 8' high deck trying to level it out with a jack and the level is up on the deck I need more than 3 minutes and need to hear it from 8-10' away. Another pet peeve is about levels in general that have a 45 degree bubble. I've been a carpenter for over 50 years and can't remember even once needed a 45 degree bubble. Maybe others would disagree, and it makes the level more "versatile" but if that versatile feature is useless it doesn't count for much, especially when checking for plumb and finding the bubble you need is on the other end of the stick.

This level is really nice. It eliminates the guessing part where you keep checking the tinny bubble. The lcd screen is bug enough for you to see from 10 feet. On top of it, the customer service is top notch, doesn't get any better! You get a replacement if it stops working in the first year.
