This smaller 40in unit is AWESOME, I mean all around it’s just extremely well built, well engineered n thought out, and versatile tool to have at your disposal. Granted the 40in model is only rated for 300 pounds, and I’m 6ft 6in and 315 pounds and it doesn’t even flinch with me on it holding a 50+ pound piece of firewood which is pretty amazing because normally because of my weight I have to be very mindful of sitting my heavy arse on seats like this. NOT THIS ONE. I originally purchased it to use as a stool for my fireplace because I’m so tall and bending over that far to feed the fire multiple times a day just sucks. So I liked this 40inch model so much that I went ahead and ordered the 48inch model that they offer, and it supposedly has a weight rating of 330 pounds. All I can say is that weight rating is obviously UNTESTED AND A COMPLETE JOKE because the 48in is a flimsy piece of junk. IT SUCKS. The first time I very gently sat down on it, I could feel it flexing and tweaking in ways it isn’t supposed to which blew my mind. Well the problem Is that the 48in model uses flat bar stock to support the seat when in “stool mode” and the 40in uses rectangular tubing to support the seat when in stool mode. I tried to take a picture so that you can see what exactly I’m referring to when I mention what is supporting each chair when In stool mode.

This is most versatile mechanics creeper I've ever had. It has a seat all the way down to the floor and then you can put it up a little higher to work on your tires or lay it completely flat to go underneath the car very well impressed with the quality of this.

Do NOT think you are getting a deal. You are in fact getting a cheap piece of junk that bends, flexes and breaks after two uses. No exaggeration, I used it once in the sitting position and the bottom board broke and caved in. Maybe I am fat, but COME ON. Then I lay if flat and roll under my truck on smooth concrete and one of the casters literally breaks a wheel off at the hub. I then try to sit it back into a seat and the pin lock is bent and requires "massaging" to get it locked. I was REALLY hoping for a solid creeper, instead I got a piece of junk that will most likely get thrown away. I will pull the 20 year old model I still have out and it will work without any issues.

The creeper was easy to assemble and works as described in the text. It appears to be reasonably well built and will work well as a low-profile rolling chair I can use to work under the wing and fuselage of the planes I’m building. I bought a similar creeper in 2022 for $106 from Amazon. It is much better constructed and the quality of the materials is superior. I keep it at the hangar and wanted another for the barn at the house. That particular creeper is now $289, a 174% increase in less than four years. I bought the WheelX because it was less than 1/4 the price and will work just fine for me. I don’t ever plan to use it flat or as a stool so can’t attest to those functions, but for the money it is a great deal.

Found several areas where paint was applied over rusted metal….terrible QC! Also, as several other reviews noted, the directions are terrible. I knew this when I bought it but figured with my engineering degree I’d be able to figure things out with a little effort. The diagrams are poorly drawn distinguishing front (finished side of cushion) vs back (unfinished side) and I found myself having to disassemble it to reverse things. This took a lot more time. Take care not to cross thread the casters into the threaded inserts on the frame (which is easy to do)! Hand tighten for several threads before using a wrench.
