Dewalt shop stool. Comes mostly together - just install the seat. My husband was so happy. Declared this is favorite gift this year. It has really sturdy wheels and rolls nicely - of course better when the shop floor is clean - but even with a little stuff on the floor it does well. It's very very heavy duty, weighty. The seat part is comfortable (according to hubby). He is a very big Dewalt fan - he would recommend this stool if you need one. It adjusts up and down about 5" or so. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All of my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. I am not influenced by any outside source. I receive/accept NO free products or discounts that are not available to all shoppers- ever. For some reason our shopper ranks are no longer visible - so, to give you a little more info about me, I am a top 50 reviewer (#30 the highest rank achieved).     • Easy to assemble
This was very easy to assemble. There was no hassle at all, it just all clicked together. It is the perfect height and is still compact. It fits into my husband's shop perfectly and he loves that it matches all of his tools. The back support is nice while still being compact enough to not be in the way.     • Stood the test of time.
We have had this chair for several years now and it has held up to 2 moves and it is the same as when it came out of the box. Very good value for the money. I want my shop tools and items to stand up to whatever I do and the quality of this one is spot on. DeWalt has done good for us.

    • Great seat, but the base could be wider
20220407: I love DeWalt stuff, and wanted to give this 5 stars, but the base is not wide enough. If the seat is raised up it is _very_ easy to tip over. The wheels are a bit stiff, so trying to slide around with a higher seat tends to make the seat tip over. Lowering the seat and using your legs more keeps it stable, but DeWalt could have done much better by simply making the base wider. The base is almost exactly the same width as the seat, so the entire unit is less stable, tall and skinny. Assembly was extra-easy. The units comes in three pieces: the seat, the neck, and the base. Put the neck into the base, place the seat on the neck, adjust the height once, and it is ready to go. DeWalt provides some flat feet if you want to remove the casters. I did not use them, but maybe there is some scenario where that would be useful. Construction: the base is steel with DeWalt-yellow baked on enamel. If I read correctly, DeWalt has an accessory system that probably allows some small items to be attached to the base. The U-channels have a pattern cut into the steel that seems to be for attaching something. I've not looked into that too much, so can't say any more about that. The wheels are about medium size, and heavy, but they don't turn as easily as I would have liked (see my comment above on tipping too easily). The seat is solid and comfortable.     • Sturdy chair, but be careful
I have used this chair at my sewing table for a year. Everything about it is well constructed and sturdy. The seat is comfortable, the casters work smoothly, and the color is fun. My only caution is that the chair tips over relatively easily, so kids and those who like to scoot around quickly should be prepared to slow down or hit the ground. ... show more
