I am always trying to look for ways to enrich my kitties' lives and I am sure I am not alone in saying how difficult that search is! My cats are so picky, it iw difficult to find something that will hold their attention. I am very happy to say that we have had this mat for a month and not only has it held up, but I want to get another! Luckily this toy really can be a "set it and forget it". Once the ball is charged (I was happily surprised that thos arrived with its own charger, but it also works with my phone charger) I slip the ball into the mat and watch cats ACTIVATE. Even if they're sleeping across the room, they instantly will charge the mat. The toy will stay on for hours and the motion activation is intuitive, which keeps my kitties on alert and stimulated. I have three cats, all small- medium size, so the mat may be a bit small for larger babies but honestly the cats love charging and bunching up the mat to get to the ball, so the size hasn't been an issue. This toy really enagages the cats "natural instinct" as some review said. But like, actually. Definetly would recommend :)

I had the one where the feather/stick is under a small circle tarp and spins around. It broke after years and I thought I'd try this one. My cats immediately went crazy for it. My only complaint is the battery life is short so when it stop moving inside the bag area, my cats protest by sitting on it and meowing very loudly. The bag area that holds the ball is very large which is awesome. It does move across the non-carpet floor, but that makes it more fun for the cats. I did have to add a safety pin to the opening as my smart kitties figured out how to open the velcro spot to get the ball out. This was a definite win for our house.

My cats are obsessed with this thing, so I'm going to buy another one. I would give it 5 stars if they didn't send me one that was used and the fur wasn't damaged around the body. Overall the quality isn't bad at all. If your cats like to play games where you hide the toy underneath a blanket this is going to work well for them. I washed mine due to it being used. I used a gentle cycle and let it air dry. It didn't damage it at all. Just a tip for those who may need it.

So this is a 2 in one toy. Not only is it fun for the cats inside the bag but my cats like to play with the ball outside the bag too. It’s wild and all kinds of crazy. It tweets like a bird and flutters to get their attention and they chase that thing all over the house. And add bonus that it’s rechargeable.

At first I thought it was me so I kept on working with it. It blinks red when u plug it in and needs a charge and goes to solid red after it is fully charged. It did just that for me. However, when I put it in the enclosure for my cat to play with it only lasts about 2 to 3 minutes and the light (pink which is the one I select for play) goes out and it won't go anyplace at all no matter what. I plug it back in and it's blinking red again like it was never charged. VERY fustrating I tried many times and it is just DEFECTIVE. Shame as it's not an inexpensive item for what it is and my kitten loves it to-boot.

My cats loved it for two weeks. It was great until it stopped working. Seems to take the charge but then stopped. I would gladly pay that kind of money if the toy would work longer.
