I know this disk is a refurbished used disk and bought it knowing this. I had no plans to put it into a production environment. I am simply using it for backup cold storage. It has worked great thus far. I have backed up terabytes of data to it that is static and put the drive in an external USB enclosure to make it easy to backup the data when I need to. Let's Go!! In short, this is a good buy! I've been running Truenas for years, and this is my 4th build. I buy renewed/refurbished drives 3 or 4 at a time and build in a hot spare. For this pricing I jumped on purchasing many drives. I was hoping for low hours (since they're renewed) but imagine that all of my drives had less than 10 hours on them! My build is ZFS2, meaning I can lose up to 2 drives with zero data loss. Truenas is purring along and I'm 2 weeks into a solid build with zero SMART errors or problems. The 5 year warranty is outstanding - even better than WaterPanther, so it's worth a look in my opinion! ... show more
