  • Solved my problem
These are really high-quality brackets. The studs above my fireplace were oddly placed and off center, so the TV mount that I bought would not work. I considered attaching the mount to only a single stud, but then I found this solution. It's very easy to attach your mount to these brackets so that you have a wider range of studs to attach to. This is an easy solution and everything worked perfectly. The only down side, is that your TV will be a half inch farther off of the wall, but that is not a huge issue for me. ... show more

  • Excellent TV mount
This is one of the best-made products I’ve ever purchased. Follow the directions to the letter and you’ll be impressed too. I mounted a 43” Toshiba and everything fit like a glove.

  • A little expensive, but it solved my problem.
I ordered the 3-way TV mounting bracket for 16” studs, which was on sale. My studs were 16”, but they were not centered where the TV had to go. I needed 14” in one direction and 18” in the other. I logged on to order the longer brackets and found the original 16” bracket was still on sale, but the longer bracket was full flaming retail. I suppose the logic is that once you are committed to completing the installation, and you find you screwed up buy ordering the wrong bracket, you will pay what they ask. No matter. Everything fit perfectly. The directions were clear and the installation went smoothly. Very satisfied. ... show more

  • Awesome product to get you a sturdy tv mount!
It worked great! Bought a full motion mount from Lowe’s that was 16 stud which shouldn’t be a problem but low and behold it was! I didn’t know that the builder of my home was on crack! I had 24 inch stud gap! So I call the manufacture of the mount and they had a more expensive one that would work. So I went to amazon and found this in two minutes! Ordered it three days later I’ve got my tv mounted and it looks and works great! ... show more

  • Great mount solution for off center studs...
I bought these not necessarily because my studs were beyond 16 inches appart, but because they were not going to center the TV where I needed it. I was hoping to use these to use as the main brace for the studs and then slide my TV to center position. These went up well and worked very well with my mount. (PERLESMITH TV Wall Mount Bracket Full Motion Dual Articulating Arm). They were easily strong enough to support my weight of 200 pounds, so my 70 pound TV was no challenge for them. I was able to slide the TV along them like guide rails and lock it where I wanted it. I am SO glad I bought these. My only wish is that they made longer versions of them. I would have loved to have these for the length of 3 studs. ... show more

  • Great if your studs are far apart
We wanted to mount our televisions but all the mounts we found you needed your studs to be 16 inches apart and ours are 24 inches. These were perfect to give us the extra inches we needed to safety mount our televisions the way that we wanted to and where we wanted to. It has been about two weeks since we used these extenders to mount and the televisions are still holding strong. It even worked with a couple different brands of mounts. ... show more

  • Nice sturdy brackets.
I've used these brackets for three TV's now. I go put ofmmy way specially to get these, because they're tough as nails, and the best way tommake sure your TV is mounted *exactly* where you need it.

  • Exactly what I needed for 24" wall stud spacing.
Works great when you're stuck with 24" stud spacing to mount your big screen TV. (I thought 16" spacing was supposed to be the national standard.) Here's a tip though. Install the top bar to your wall studs, then attach whatever TV mount bracket you're using to it BEFORE installing the lower bar. Then slip the lower bar in place and attach it to the lower part of your TV mount bracket. And LASTLY secure the lower bar to your wall studs. So why do it this way? As careful as I was, using the cardboard template to install both bars, the holes to attach the TV mount bracket to these bars didn't quite line up. Using that cardboard template caused too many errors in vertically spacing the bars. So if you do it like I suggest, there's no spacing errors since the TV mount is already attached. All that's left is to attach the lower bar to the wall studs. There's plenty of room to drill the pilot hole with the bar in place, (or you can mark the drill hole and then detach the lower bar if you really want.) Either way, the bar spacing and all the mounting holes will line up perfectly. One more little tip. Forget those electronic wall stud finders. Get some small super magnets and place them where you find the nail heads under the drywall. With 3 or 4 of them vertically placed, you will see a much more accurate location of the wall stud. Whoever installed the drywall don't always put the nails in dead center in the stud. You don't want those vital lag screws too close to the edge of a stud. ... show more
