The zippers gave up the ghost on my 20 yr old McKlein leather case. I needed a new one quick! Amazon came thru! I packed two 17" lappy's, all their accoutrements, network switch, and my own wifi router (rasperry pi w/ keyboard). It made the trip and everything worked! The Lappy's were exposed on top! I flew on a three seat per row puddle jumper, and the detachable wheels let the whole bag fit under the seat! That was key! The zippers look to be improved from 20 years ago!     • Nice Bag but the Wheels are Really Loud on the Sidewalk
This is a really nice bag with well thought out pockets but the wheels are plastic. Every time I go downtown, all I can hear is the clack, clack, clack of the wheels on the sidewalk. It's so loud that sometimes people in front of me will look back to make sure a skateboarder is not about to mow them down from behind. Researched a lot of different cases . . . had the Solo leather laptop case, which was great but my paperwork was more than the case could handle so had to get something a little bigger without being obnoxious. This one had the right dimensions and had the appropriate # of compartments and the flexibility to take off the wheels. The only observation so far. . the cow hide leather is not as aesthetically pleasing as I thought it would be. It has an artificial leather appearance to it. Some prior concerns talked about the color scratching off easily but this definitely has not been an issue.
