This picture frame is perfect for my uses. While it is intended to sit horizontally I have more, portrait-oriented photos so I decided to try it vertically and it works perfectly. This frame is well built, sturdy and aesthetically pleasing. The edges are sharp so keep away from young children. Extremely easy to assemble out of the box and will add a great touch to any room. The design gives a semi floating look to the picture which just adds that much appeal to the frame would have given 4.5, there is not much to complain about with this item. Only wish that the design was made to go either portait or landscape. Measurements are accurate and picture fit perfectly between the 2 glass panes and the panes slid into the wood frame very snug.

Nice combination of walnut-looking wood and clear glass-looking acrylic for a desktop, wall unit, or similar type of placement. They are two-sided--each can hold two photos--but the "front" is angled for viewing so the backside picture can't be seen unless you turn the pictures around in the frame base. Not a big deal but the two-sided possibility isn't really that functional. The end pieces are glued to the base / bottom piece and, on mine, all four inside joints show the remnants of some excess glue, so they're not finished as well as they could be. It's not very visible, especially with the pictures in place. The wood is smooth and lightly stained but otherwise "unfinished." Looks like it could benefit from a dab of Liquid Gold or orange oil to bring out the grain and preserve the wood.

What makes this set of frames a bit different is the slight tilt they have which helps eliminate any glare from the lighting or sun. I don't have to lean down to view the photos as if they were perfectly straight. It's also very easy to place a new photo in between the two clear acrylic photo frames and they still appear like they are glass. These frames make for a lovely gift especially with both Fathres Day and Mothers Day approaching. And the price is like getting two for the price of one.

I love the look of these frames. They have a wide, sturdy wooden base (1 3/4 inches ) and the picture sits nicely nestled between the two clear acrylic pieces. These frames support horizontal pictures. If absolutely needed, you could turn them on their sides for vertical pictures, but I am not really a fan of that look. The wood looks nice against my lighter shelf. It also looks nice against darker shelves too. If this company had true vertical frames in the same style,I would purchase them to make a complete set.
