The installation process was a little too easy, and it failed, so had to contact support. Also, had to ask to be credited for unused dates left from the prior subscription

    • It is a scam becaue to activate it you must give McAfee your credit card for Auto Renewal.

It is a scam becaue to activate it I must give my credit card for Auto Renewal. I paid more (more than other products) to buy this item because it was advertised as 1-year subscription WITHOUT any indication that it's annual Auto Renewal. In other words, I bought it because nothing was mentioned about "annual auto-renewal" AND because I didn't want it to be annually renewed automatically. However, when I tried to activate it, it demanded and required that I give my credit card number before it allows me to activate the code. Other anti-virus companies tell/advertise right upfront that its anti-virus is subject to automatic annual renewal, but this item said nothing about it until I bought it and tried to activate it. Often, automatic annual renewal is a scam charging users 4x to 5x the original purchase price without any advance notice to users, and I was deceived by this product. So, buyers beware. I will return this item, and buy cheaper and better product from another company. ... show more

Even after I removed (old) last year's version of McAfee, I had to try three times to install the program. It kept failing to install. I was getting messages from McAfee sending me to their web-link to buy the program from their website. On the third try it finally accepted the license number I was provided with this purchase of their product. NOTE: apparently this is NOT complete protection. I keep getting Pop-Up Warnings, or advertising messages from McAfee telling me that I need to buy additional protection. I called ask why it's not complete protection, but I could not get an agent. I got frustrated with McAfee recorded message and Hung up the phone. I will try calling again another day. I liked last year's version of McAfee but NOT this new version. ... show more
