The most difficult thing about the wooden mattress support installation was getting it out of the box. After unboxing it was easily the fastest install ever. I have a standard size bed frame with headboard and footboard and it fits perfectly. I slid my memory foam mattress back on and bam it was done. Now, for the first time since I got my new mattress and frame I had a blissfully uninterrupted night's sleep. While my bed frame and mattress are less than a year old I did not purchase a box spring because I don't like climbing a mountain to get into bed. No more sag and bag and struggle to turn over in bed no more back and neck ache from sleeping on a poorly supported mattress. I have a memory foam mattress & considered the space in between each slat. So I purchased 2 sets, overlaid them, now there's only a1/4" gap between slats. Don't know why Peter C's review was so bad, trying to accomplish the same by overlapping, complaining about slats wouldn't fit, crooked boards, uneven lengths, having a difficult time, etc. LET ME TELL YOU, I laid 1 row down, the 2nd on top of that & filled the gaps beautifully. I think it took me 1 minute! Boards are sturdy, straight & uniform. If you have memory foam mattress, try this & buy 2 sets & overlay them ( NOT the fabric covered slats ) it won't be flat & even. I bought 2 $48.00 slats sets ( no fabric ) Very pleased with my purchase, product & results!!! ... show more

I wanted my new bed frame to serve as a platform bed, so I looked at sets of slats (bunkie boards) to lay across the frame to support the mattress. This slats set fits my queen frame exactly. It’s very strong and offers great support for my very heavy mattress. However, because the slats are placed vertically, they slide around when you are positioning the mattress. It took considerable effort to place the mattress on the bed frame and then pull the slats back in place. It will be a problem when changing the sheets. I’m going to use some zip ties to anchor the outer slats to the bed frame so there is less slippage. If I had this to do over again, I would buy a slats set with horizontal boards. ... show more
