I was dreading getting this lid cover, sort of. I figured it would make the lid fall down. And it did, till I attached it a different way than I had done with my previous lid cover. The fix is to fit it over the hinge cover locks at the back of the lid rather than in front of them. Voila, stays up when it should. The cover is very plush.     • Isn't cut to fit the American toilet lid.
So, I want to start by saying I bought the toilet lid cover and the contoured rug. I got a silver gray because it is a difficult color to find and the price seemed reasonable. They are both very plush and fun with ropey depth. Because they are bathroom items and can't be bleached or run in the dryer, I have to take a little bit of a mark there; most people are going to want to sanitize these items. They've come through the wash and air dry just fine. But my real complaint has to do with the way the toilet seat cover is made. It seems more like a hamper lid cover because it does not accommodate any hinge (it's cinched all the way around like a shower cap.) Most toilet seat covers in the United States have gathered edges around a portion of the cover (like 7 to 5 on a clock) with the remainder cut away without elastic so that it will work with the hinge. It's hard to imagine how this lid cover would work without modification on any toilet that I've ever seen. So, for now what we do is just leave it untucked along the back, which is not attractive... so imagine the toilet lid is open and the cover just covering the top half like a hairdo if the lid is like a face. I'm going to try to cut it and fix it, rather than return it because I really do like the deep pile twisties, but it seems like a bit of an engineering defect that could be addressed in manufacturing IMHO. If you have men/boys in your household, they will find they'll need to sit to use the toilet with these covers because the lid will not stay open because the cover interferes with the hinge. ... show more

The thick material might suit a bathroom rug, but it didn't work as a lid cover. The cushion wouldn't allow the lid to remain open for male members of the family. Nice color, nice texture. Not sure about durability, since it was returned immediately.

This is the perfect size for my 16x14 toilet lid. It's just what I needed. I was not able to find the right size at several retail stores, so thank goodness Amazon had it! I haven't washed it yet, but it seems to be made just fine.

What well made toilet lids. Best I've ever had. Love their lifetime warranty. They're so well made I doubt they hardly ever have to refund or replace! Thick, soft, lush, and fit well. I have elongated lid but it could fit standard as well. I have no trouble with lid fall down like other reviews. Only mild Con : Colors are true to my computer screen. I got plum. It's deep purple.     • Very cute color and soft, but it's so thick makes it hard for the lid to stay open
Maybe my toilet lid is shorter than most, but there's a bunch of extra fabric at the back of it, and so the toilet seat doesn't stay up by itself very well. I have figured out how to sort of balance it, but I have to sit down real fast before it comes down again. This isn't so much of an issue because I'm a girl, but it might be a problem for a dude, if the lid comes down mid-pee. Other than that, it's pretty and soft! ... show more

On opening the package, the toilet lid cover looked really good. It's shaggy with a vibrant color. I ordered the burgundy. I eagerly put it on the toilet lid and it fitted perfectly, or so I thought. The lid would not stay open by itself. I was extremely disappointed but thought perhaps it would fit on another lid so I tried it in my guest bathroom. This time, the lid opened but not fully back to the tank but I thought it might still work. However when both lid and seat were lifted, they couldn't stay open and would just close. It was impossible for a male to use. The elastic around the rim of the lid cover plus the material are way too thick for it to function properly. I had to remove it so it's just useless to me now. Just got this navy blue toilet lid cover and so far I really like it. It is a teensy bit too big for my small toilet seat but still looks good and stays on just fine. I love the rich color. The true test will be how soon the color fades and the elastic gives out. Will update my review after I have had it for a while. ... show more
