Value for money is decent with this coffee and the freshness is noticeable when you grind the beans. The taste is smooth with low acidity, so it doesn’t upset the stomach, though it’s more on the generic side and nothing too extraordinary. Overall the coffee quality is solid and enjoyable for a light roast morning cup.

This is one of the best quality specialty coffees I could find for the price! The aroma the beans have after being freshly ground is incredibly nice and makes for great pour over coffee. Almost every other light roast whole bean coffee I've bought contained oily/shiny beans. These are the perfect color and have a matte finish-a true light roast. I highly recommend this coffee!

Update: I have been giving this coffee more opportunities to be drinkable but it only gets worse. No matter how I grind and brew the bitter aftertaste will not go away, it will linger until I eat or drink enough to dilute it. I went back to the coffee I was drinking before this and it further confirmed how bad this coffee is. If you like bitter coffee with a bad aftertaste then maybe this is for you but I prefer something smooth and enjoyable to drink. Based on the marketing and reviews for this coffee I was excited to try it, so excited that I purchased 4 different blends to try (Artesano, Buenos Dias, Mayan, and Inca). Before I get into my review I want to share that my grind settings are dialed in to suit my Mocca Master pot. I was ready for something new but my go to coffees are delicious so I stick with the process as a reference anytime I try different beans. First the beans were dry compared to what I'm used to and that's usually a bad sign of them sitting in storage too long. Most quality coffee has some oil left on the beans by the time it reaches our homes but these were so dry they were brittle. All 4 blends had bad aftertastes and bitterness that I struggled to drink the coffee and ultimately had to dump the coffee and brew something else. I even tried tweaking my grind and formula to see if made enough of a difference but it did not. The coffee was just not drinkable. I did make the attempt to report this to amazon and setup a return for refund and I was told this coffee is not returnable so I'm writing this review so you can purchase with caution. If you buy it, buy one blend at a time so you aren't stuck with an expensive batch of coffee you won't drink like I am. I do not recommend this brand or the brands products.

From the product to the packaging, I am pleased with this product. What it calls a "light roast" is indeed a light roast, producing a smooth, delightful product. The beans are clean and whole, and ready for my grinder. The packaging is different from other bags I've typically seen in larger quantities of coffee beans. This one has a zip seal! This packing stays air-tight from use to use, versus the fold-down style backs I'm more accustomed to. This increases the fresh life of the beans. This is the 3rd time I've ordered this brand, and I have no reason to shop elsewhere.
