Extremely interesting, but also extremely hard to find an MD or even a DO who subscribes to it, most won't even talk to you, so... you're on your own, but books like this do HELP. Thank you.

Great starter book for those who know little about alternative medicine and home remedies. I wish each section went more in depth though.

    • Not the Gold Standard of Alternative Medicine & Home Remedies
I didn't pay a great deal for this, so I'm not angry. I'm just disappointed; when you attach Mayo Clinic to a name, you expect to get something that is top-of-the-line, state-of-the-art, up-to-the-minute health guidelines. I didn't find that quality in this book. (Yeah, I know I should have READ the reviews!) As other reviewers have noted, most of this information can be found by Googling. I like the "Our Take" comments on the remedies, but sometimes the information is not perfectly accurate or not detailed enough to be of use. I was hoping for some scientific information on turmeric, and it isn't even listed! Since this was published in 2013, I would think that would have been included. Anyway, I'll be looking for a home for it and its companion book. It's not a book I'll keep. ... show more
