This is a FAKE. I have been using this mascara for years. Picture shows the tube I had vs the second one I reciveved from Amazon. Both tubes I received from Amazon were not functional. The wand came out completely full of mascara, there was no narrow part to squeeze off the excess. It also looks different than the ones I get from CVS, I would not recommend. The mascara I received isn’t real Maybelline Mascara. The color of the tube is a different shade of yellow, it doesn’t say the same thing on the front, and it’s missing the part that scrapes off excess mascara so it comes out way too clumpy. The super low price was too good to be true.

Bought this to try since they stopped making the original Volum’ Express mascara that I loved. I like the wand and how easy it is to apply and wash off. It makes excellent volume, I get compliments on my eye lashes a lot (which are real). However, the formula used to smudge/flake in really hot weather, but since I’ve bought it a couple more times it stopped. Pretty good for price. Can be clumpy but doesn't flake. Let 1st coat dry for about 60 sec before adding second coat so lashes can thicken. I have thin lashes, so wanted something that helped w length and thickness at same time. 3rd coat will be too clumpy so stick w just 2. (1 coat = about 10 strokes to distribute and separate) I do a slight cat-eyed eyeliner so this mascara is great for glam drama if can separate lashes well enough during 2nd coat. ... show more

Make no mistake, if you are looking for a mascara that will withstand a waterfall landing on your face, or the whole world suddenly died off and you're the only one left and you have nothing to do but cry.. this is the one for you. It is VERY waterproof. So waterproof that my makeup remover (specially for waterproof makeup) has a tough time taking it off. Also, the context of 'no clumps' is a joke. I was blessed by the eyelash gods and have a lot and they are long. I got this mascara to make my eyelashes pop but instead have made them clump together. Not cute. Bought this for a vacation to Mexico. Was perfect for being in he pool/ocean. It stayed on great! Almost too great..really had to scrub at my eyes to get it off at night, but I'm fine with that if it means I don't have runny mascara raccoon eyes all day!

Claims to be waterproof. Went to the pool today and applied this mascara. I LOVE the length and volume it provides my short, thin Asian lashes however, waterproof, it is NOT!! I didn’t even go under water. Just waded through the pool watching my kids and still, raccoon eyes. Same results with my regular mascara. Not returnable so I’m out the money. On to find a different one with better results. *sigh* ... show more

Nice mascara, lots of thick lashes. The brush is fantastic - nice curve, feels light yet applies properly with one or two strokes. I'm only giving it 4 stars as I think the original Maybelline Great Lash is still the best mascara and will return to that...I just wish that I could take this brush!!! Color is black. I admit that I can't tell the difference between black, blackest black, extreme black and similar titles. I like black mascara so I buy any of these. I don't use blue or brown mascara. I appreciate other purchasers' reviews and that is why I choose to write reviews. Amazon reviews help me choose which products to buy.
