At first, I wasn't impressed. The name of this is Maybelline Super Stay 24. Maybe I'm dumb, but I presumed the "24" meant the lipstick lasted 24 hours. It so does not. But take out that "24". What you're left with is an easy to apply liquid lipstick. Wait a few minutes, and apply the built-in gloss for a superlative shine. This color will stay with you while you drink your breakfast coffee. Depending on what you have for lunch, the color may fade, but mostly on the lower lip. After lunch, brush your teeth (do NOT remove the lipstick), reapply the color, wait a few, then reapply the gloss. This stuff will last until the end of the work day and possibly even beyond. i find several things impressive about this lipstick: the number of colors, both matte and shimmer; the built-in gloss; the fact that the color is relatively "thin" so you don't have to take time to fully remove if you don't have to--just layer the color, wait a minute, apply the gloss and go. My favorite lip colors are the deep, dark reds, so my favorite one here is Optic Ruby. I have one in my bathroom and in my handbag. And the price is reasonable. In my opinion, Maybelline does a fine job of lipsticks. The closest rival to Super Stay 24 is Maybelline Matte Ink (Exhilarator and Voyager for the dark reds). I wore those colors for years before I retired because the color really did stay on forever, even through lunch. The only problem was my lips would sometimes become dry, and if I tried any kind of gloss, the lipstick would smear. So at this point in my life, this lippie is my favorite. Hope this helps. I have been using this product for years. As a nurse I stayed very busy and did not have time to keep reapplying lipstick. This lipstick stays on all day, even when eating. This is a fantastic lipstick! It applies wet like a gloss but dries to a firm finish, which can feel a bit dry. Thankfully, the included lip balm solves that issue without removing the lipstick. However, when I tried using a different chapstick, it mixed with the lipstick and caused it to come off like regular lipstick. While it’s not completely all-day or eat-proof, only a small amount comes off when I eat. For the most part, it stays on well and doesn’t require frequent reapplication like traditional lipsticks. I ordered a few colors and only kept two that I really liked. Some shades didn’t look as advertised once applied, but the ones I kept are gorgeous. I like the long lasting effects but it is drying out of your lips. It leaves my lips cracked and super dry. Like the bright color. Even with the lip moisturizer after a while of use it is dry.
