I had been looking for a less expensive foundation that still provides good coverage when I came across this one. I tried several and their use either resulted in a breakout or wore off within an hour. This foundation is medium-full coverage, blends easily and lasts all day. There is no makeup smell, sticky feel or cakeiness. I purchased in the Winter so I went with shade 118, light beige. I have a light skin tone with olive undertones and the color was right on. My skin is normal with an oily t-zone however with this foundation I haven't experienced any shine, even after hours of wear.

A little of this goes a long way. You have to be mindful not to apply too much of this on your brush, sponge, or fingertips. I normally wear a regular beige color like buff beige, but I actually got a tan going this year so needed a darker color. I’ve been using the fit me foundation as my “go to” for daytime use for about 3 years now. It’s very comparable to the more expensive brands but at a fraction of the price, and who doesn’t love high quality for a great deal? You do need to use a setting powder with this particular foundation because otherwise it will stay soft and or tacky on your skin. Use sparingly on your forehead otherwise it will look bad pancaky. It is buildable so if you feel it’s not covering your freckle or sun spot well enough just apply a little more on those spots OR dot with concealer, but make sure the first layer is dry first. I’m almost 50 yrs old and I don’t feel the need to build my foundation because with this one, after I apply my setting powder, that covers any spots that may have been visible. Here’s s tip: use your concealer AFTER your foundation, not before. I really like this product but I will tell you it’s not good for killer humid sweaty summer days. So no go for high temps: it basically melts on your face and you can’t wear sunglasses on a hot day with this. IS excellent for cold weather up to about 80 degrees. So it had its pros and cons.

I used to use this Maybelline matte foundation all through high school and about up to 24-25 years old. I’m talking years of only using this product + the Fit Me concealer to match, with no issues. I truly loved these products. I switched to Fenty Beauty’s matte Pro Filter foundation and used that for 3-4 years. I ran out of my Fenty foundation and, being on a budget, I reordered this tried and true Maybelline foundation again for a cheaper option until I can run to Ulta again and drop $40 on one foundation product. The difference in products is, sadly, glaringly obvious to me now. Even in high school, when my skin was at its worst, this product did not leave me feeling like an oil slick as soon as I applied it, but now at 28 years old, I immediately wanted to take it off after applying. I truly dislike how it feels on my skin. I remember this product being amazing for the price point and being a drug store foundation that was super popular, but now I’m dreading the next time I have to use it. After 2-3 hours of wear (literally just put it on for an 1 1/2 hour doctor’s appointment) I gently itched my face with the tip of my nail and the foundation is a little oily puddle under my nail. It’s so oily that even after applying my usual powder on top of the foundation to ‘set’ it, my hair would blow in the wind and my hair would get stuck to my cheek. Mind you I am NOT piling this stuff on! I just apply enough to get even coverage and cover redness/acne scars. Next time I’m going to try throwing a setting spray on top, and see if that helps set the foundation better, but I usually don’t have to use setting spray at all. I’m honestly shocked at the difference in products and this product used to be my go-to whenever I ran out of foundation. I can still use the concealer, ans have all these years, and it does not have this oily effect on me. I’m truly sad it’s not how I remember it! Maybe I’ve been spoiled by Fenty Beauty quality but dang! This is a huge difference and I’m not at all against drug store products, most of my products are under $15. I wonder if they changed the foundation formula, my skin changed in late-adulthood or I just truly never realized how oily this product is until I used something higher quality :(

Very ice foundation tan color and very soft to my skin. The color matched my skin perfectly and it is very natural looking and smooth. I tried on my hand and you can barely see it as it blends with your skin and my skin is tan. Natural finish and very beautiful tone. It was delivered to my mailbox and I thank you for that because it is small and was well packaged wrapped to avoid breakage. This is what I was looking for and I love it. You only need a little bit to make your face look naturally smooth.
