I love ita bought 2 in August 2019 & still using the first one. Less than half left. If I make the line too thick, of course it will smudge in the crease from blinking. When sharpening, dont put pressure on pencil. Just put it in the sharpener & turn. It will let you know when its done. It lasts about 8 - 10 hrs. My skin is oily so if I rub the corners of my eyes, it will smudge some. PLUS I found one that truly gets real dark black like I want it too! I KUST LOVE IT!

I tend to avoid pencils that have to be sharpened and prefer retractable ones instead. I decided to give this pencil a try anyway and am super impressed with how smoothly and easily this goes on. I've never found a pencil that could glide on like this one without 'skipping' some areas. I haven't had any trouble with sharpening it like a lot of the other reviews state, I just use a good makeup pencil sharpener. This probably isn't the best pencil if you're wanting a very fine line for your liner, but I believe that's why the name includes "drama." The products in this line tend to be a bit bolder, excentuating certain features. You will get a bolder look with this pencil.

I've and so many waterproof eyeliner and always experience raccoon eyes within a hour or smudging and color bleed but this one stayed out for hours and out of habit for fleck checks I found virtually none. It is different then a pencil I've never used gel and so at first the initial drawing the line seemed sloppy cuz I wasn't used to it. But rest fix and it stayed all day with no raccooning or smudge at corners which I was so relieved. I did use a eye primer beforehand which was something else I have never tried so not sure if both together made the perfect stay or the liner would've given that result in its own. But definitely a better liner than regular kohl liners.

By far my favorite eyeliner ever! It stays on for the entire day, doesn’t smudge, and is the perfect gel like pencil eyeliner. It’s so much easier to control than the brush application gel eyeliner is out there.

Best eyeliner I've ever used. For 25 years I used cover girls basic black eyeliner- I just assumed eyeliner only lasted on the eye for 2 or 3 hours. I decided to try this eyeliner. It didn't move all day. It was amazing- so black and defined, all day. It is very soft, but just be prepared for that. Gently draw the line where you want it. It's very easy. You can make a thick or thin line. Use a light hand, but it will go on dark where you put it, practice, it's very worth it. When you do want to remove it it comes off easily, I use Almay regular (not waterproof) remover. I was excited to go jet skiing because I knew it would stay on, and it did. I haven't sharpened it yet because I don't need a really sharp pencil to place it properly. I might put it in the freezer for a few minutes before I do sharpen it. Enjoy!

I've tried other brands but keep coming back to Maybelline New York Lasting Drama Matte Eyeliner Makeup. The stick doesn't dry out or break off easily. It always goes on smoothly. And, of course, the price is definitely right, especially on Amazon. You can spend twice the price but you won't get a better product.

Very happy with this eyeliner! I got it in the Glazed Toffee and wasn't sure what shade of brown to expect. Was very happy that it was similar to a dark brown. Normally, I have a hard time getting pencil liners to stay put, but this one is just as crisp at the end of the day, as it is when I put it on in the morning. It goes on very smooth, too. I was worried about having issues sharpening it, after reading several reviews, but have not had any issues sharpening the resin pencil. This has definitely become my go-to liner!

I have a few colors of this. The sapphire is a hard to find bright blue and looks gorgeous. It is hard to sharpen since the pencil is gel-very soft and should be encased in a hard material .I bought a Clinique sharpener for $4 and it solved the problem. You really need a good sharpener not just any. It is truly smudge proof once it sets. Hard to make a winged tip since you can't created a pointed tip out of the pencil . but otherwise its better than the $20 eyeliners out there and since it is soft it will not dry up, another problem I find w/ other eyeliners even expensive ones.
