I am a makeup snob. I have stupidly high standards for cosmetic performance, and drugstore brands have let me down every single time I've given them a shot. So when I graduated from Covergirl to Sephora after college, I never looked back. My kit is full of Dior and YSL foundation, Armani concealer, Benefit brighteners, etc. I say this in order to grab the attention of my fellow makeup snobs: If you would never even consider Maybelline, this review is for you. Bloggers have raved about this product for a while, but I never bothered to check it out until a close friend and fellow product snob suggested it. Here are my findings: 1. It applies like the Armani Maestro Eraser liquid undereye concealer. This is very very essential, for those of us who hate the 5th hour cakiness of cream concealers but also hate the weak coverage and creasing of most liquid attempts. This eraser goes on with the Maestro's same thin liquid texture, without sinking into lines at all, and without losing opacity as you blend. 2. It is at least 50% more opaque than the Maestro. I was pretty stunned. Anything that can go on with that consistency but have noticeably better coverage is doubletake worthy imo. 3. The sponge applicator is better than you think. Firstly, it's antimicrobial, so you don't have to worry about the hygiene aspect. Secondly, its ability to blend the product is outstanding. I typically skip clumsy applicators like that, but with this, I do 80% of my application with that sponge tip, and then just finish with a good concealer brush to set it and blend out the edges. 4. It doubles as a highlighter. Every time I use this, I find myself seduced into just continuing the line of application from under my eyes out onto my cheekbones, brow bones, and nose bridge. A nice blending brush/sponge later, and there's this flawless highlight landscape to finish up, without settling badly into pores or caking up. 5. It sets beautifully with MUFE Micro HD powder and Shiseido translucent powder. It buffs out nicely, without chipping off into the brush. 6. It looks good without primer, which combined with its compact design and integrated applicator makes it an ideal purse dweller. 7. It worked on my thin but minimally wrinkled undereye area, and on my 60yo mother's more aged eye area. It's rare that I find a product that looks great on both our skin types, and I was impressed at how well it brightened her problem skin without caking or exacerbating the age marks. 8. It is lighter than you think, but cheap enough to test out different shades. 9. It lasts so much longer than you'd expect. I tested it on bare skin during a work-from-home day, just to see how the wear was, and was delighted to find it still working fairly well by the time I went to wash it off that night. I wore it again with a full face for a date night, and it looked flawless when I went to wash it off later. There are times when you don't want the totally opaque, nearly airbrushed look... but there are definitely times when you do. This eraser is now my official go-to product to pair with my Dior Airflash foundation, for those totally flawless skin look occasions. I could not recommend it higher, at very least as an experiment for the snobs among you.

This color corrector concealer is my go-to foundation. YES, Foundation. If they ever discontinue it I will probably become an ugly haggard witch again. I don't wear much makeup, as I'm a bit minimalist, but this little tube of pale pink concealer? It's perfection in a tube. The formula is absolutely wonderful, and lightweight too! (Do not confuse this product with their foundation, this concealer formula is WAY better.) It doesn't settle into fine line weirdly like other products, and has a very pretty finish. I had such trouble matching my skin tone with every brand of foundations/concealers. I got this at first to try and brighten up my dark under-eye circles.... so imagine my shock when this color-corrector shade was the perfect match for my skin tone! NO WONDER I COULDN'T MATCH. I'm so pale yet have pink undertones, so nothing ever looked right until I tried this. I don't mind the size of the tube being small, but I do not really care for the applicator being a fluffy sponge. I want this in a regular pump tube, that's easy to clean and apply hygienically. That's my only complaint though, and it' a personal preference.

Great product at a great price point! My one issue is the packaging… it has silver on the tube so when you hold it, then use a finger to blend it in (because, well, you have to!) the silver paint on the plastic tube comes off on your fingers and then you get silver flakes on your face. Please fix this packaging issue!

I've been using this for 7 years and love it so much. I'm not someone who uses foundation, and have no skill in that area. This is so easy to use and blends really well with minimal effort. I use it alone without adding foundation or anything and I think it works fine that way! I have medium/dark red hair and dark brown eyebrows, am fair-skinned but not blindingly so, and use shade 110 - it's a perfect match. I pile it on under my eyes since my undereye area is so blue. I use the sponge applicator to dab it on, use my fingers to rub in and blend evenly, and use a tiny brush to really get it in the dip where my undereyes are darkest. I also use it on other areas where I have redness or acne - usually my chin, nose, area around my nose, and sometimes a little on my forehead or cheeks if I have a pimple, where I can also put a thin layer on the larger area around it, sometimes even fully over my cheeks. The coverage looks natural, effective but light/not cakey. I'm attaching a photo with one eye done and one not done. I also have it on my chin, on and around my nose, and a tad on my forehead (which I'm now seeing I didn't blend well at all, as I was focused on my eyes for the pics, but you get the idea!). This is so easy to use and I highly recommend it to the gals who aren't great at makeup. Make sure you moisturize first, because with dry skin, it can cause some weird texturing. Dermaplaning helps too if you have any areas where that happens.

I bought this water trying out the many sticks that have been pushed on TikTok about lightweight and it being a skin tint and not being able to correctly shade match plus the formulas were soooo greasy and I knew I should’ve just stayed true to my rusty trusty brand. I’ve never tried this concealer before and had a thought or maybe just using concealer and skipping the other steps or my makeup. It’s so helpful that there’s a guide as well that tells you which color will match you. I while my foundation is a little lighter than this this completely covers my dark spots and I was FLOORED to find out that I didn’t not even need to do the rest or my makeup routine just using this on my dark areas tapping it in and going. A perfect no makeup make up look. For under $10.00 so good. Perfect value. And it’s not oily either. I much prefer a matte look and this gives a nice in between. My new go to product.
