I can't rate sheerness... clay is thick and matte. THis is matte, and slightly thick.. which is what covers all the different needs of the different parts of your face! Clearly, youe eye skin, chin skin, forehead skin and lip skin are all different... the clay basically evens out the palying field. It creates a canvas for you to use to further your looks. It's not drying... it's clay! It's not dry like a paste, it's quite smooth to glide on, but dries immediatly... like clay! It remains one colour throughout... like clay... and washes off no problem... like clay! I have never had a reaction to it, I am very senistive and pale. Perhaps the clay base is quite neutral. It does not last all day... but if anything did.. I would probably be skeptical of the contents. I have been on this product 3 years now.. and very happy with it. OH.... Forgot.. NO SMELL. I have been trying to find a new foundation that would match my natural skin tone well and this is it! I got shade 112 and it is a great option for fair, almost porcelain skin tones without looking too light. I rated this foundation slightly lower tho because of how dry it is. I have to put something on my skin first (moisturizer, sunscreen) before applying otherwise it looks very dry. I like my skin to look like skin, slightly dewy, not ultra matter. If you like ultra matte this could be a great option for you but if you're looking for that glowy dewy look you may wanted to mix or layer with a moisturizing product first. Or get a dewy finish foundation instead. I layer this a bit to cover some skin spots from breakouts as it applies a bit sheer. It gives a medium coverage. The color and the option of this pouch bag are what really drew me to this foundation and what would make me purchase again. I have been an expensive makeup junky for YEARS, but I have always struggled to find a tone that fit my irritatingly complex skintone, and all those fancy bottles definitely fail to last when I consistently throw them in my purse. I had recently discovered the power of the Maybelline long wear liquid lipstick (omg wow!!!) so I figured for such a low price it couldnt hurt to give this little baby a try.... OH MY GOD it matches my skintone better than anything previously tried, the little pouch is super convenient, coverage is epic, and it's lightweight too!! I have noticed that if I fall behind in my exfoliating routine the dry skin can definitely make smooth coverage difficult, but that's a me problem. So I thought I would give this foundation a try because I had seen good reviews about it. It has been hard for me to find any foundation that I love because they are either too thick in consistency, too thin, have poor coverage, look too cakey, dry out my skin or make my skin look really oily as the day wears on. I experienced absolutely NONE of that with this foundation. The consistency was perfect, it didn't dry out my skin and as the day wore on, it did not leave my face an oily mess. It was really good coverage as well, wasn't sheer or anything. I loved it so much that I suggested my mom try it because she was spending $50 on a high end brand foundation. She was skeptical, but she ended up trying it and loving it also! She said she was shocked that it covered up the bags under her eyes so well without looking caked on. She also said that the color we chose from the many options available, matched her skin even better than her high end one! We both agreed that if this foundation had one negative, it was that it came in a pour bottle instead of a pump or squeeze. That's it, that's our only complaint. Great stuff! ... show more

It’s an excellent foundation for the price. Very easy to work with. Sure there are better foundations out there but if you’re looking for something cheap and works then I would definitely recommend this. Coverage is pretty decent too.

I was pleased to discover that Maybelline makes fragrance-free foundations! I like their color corrector sticks, so I decided to give the Fit Me foundation a try. I took the color match quiz on their website, thinking that I might have to try a few colors before finding the right one. But the quiz was very accurate! ❤️ this one is the best for oil control, I'm oily all year, summers are the worst for me. This product is great for oil control. I am good for 8 hours with out setting spray or powder, with I am good for 12 hrs!😄 equivalent of 1 pump works 👍
