I am it a DYI this helped me spray my new storage hut and it worked out great went through 3 gallons of primer and 6 gallons of paint no problem. Would recommend it for small projects its super compact and portable not as noisy as I expected.

As a first-timer user of this kind of paint sprayer, I had some big reservations about trying this on a home project right out of the gate. But after a couple of days of roller painting 28ft x 16ft x 9ft room in the basement, I decided I had nothing to lose, so I pulled this baby out of the box. Now I'm kicking myself that I didn't use it right from the start. If I had, the primer layer would have been much smoother, the first coast of paint would have been less splotchy and I would have saved about two days worth of time. With this sprayer, I finished the walls and ceiling in about four hours - mostly because I was learning to handle the equipment and because I was back rolling after each application. The sprayer pulled the unfiltered, new paint from a 5-gallon bucket with no diluting required. Where I had used five gallons each for the primer and paint before, the sprayer used about 1.5 gallons. The sprayer worked smoothly, there were no hiccups, and now I'm actually looking forward to using it for my next projects.

I was a little intimidated by this, but finally decided to give her a test drive. Wow. This blows my little handheld paint sprayer out of the water. First off, I didn't have to dilute the paint, which made it much better for good coverage without being watery. The fact that it pulls right out of the paint can is super cool too. It covers evenly and quickly. It cleans up easier than my handheld too, since it is more compartmentalized. It was shockingly light weight, and had more cord than I expected, which was helpful. I watched a couple videos and read the manual a few times before going, but it's probably much easier than that. I was just intimidated as I'd never used anything like this. I would not only suggest this unit, but would say to skip the little handheld units that you have to water your paint down to use altogether, and get with this unit. This is where you want to be. It's the best.
