It's instant coffee, what do you expect? But this stuff isn't bad. It's not gourmet by any means but again, it's not bad. In a pinch for a coffee, I recommend.

I've recovered from drinking brewed coffee. Years ago I had tried instant coffee, and I couldn't even swallow it. BUT, recently I learned how to prepare a cup of instant coffee, and it's a heavenly taste. Here is how to make a great cup of MAXWELL instant coffee, when I wake up. I make sure I am fully awake to make the correct measurements. I use a mug, 1 1/2 cups in volume. I introduce about 2 level small spoons of Maxwell instant coffee in the empty mug. I add about 2 TBS of filtered COLD water on top of the coffee powder. I stir vigorously until the coffee grind is completely homogenized in the water. Then I add 2 to 3 TBS of "half and half" and i stir vigorously again. When I no longer see any particals of coffee grind on the surface I put the mug in the microwave for about 1 minute. That's when the kettle of filtered water is piping hot. I pour the boiling water in my mug and stir well, being careful not to spill the hot coffee on you, it will burn the skin. Now I add about 1/2 tsp of sugarless (Stevia sweetness) chocolate syrup, with mint from Amzon, into my mug and sit my on my recliner, with my tiny puppies to enjoy the coffee, the puppies and the morning day break sun. Now I take the time to praise and thank the Lord for each moment of life. This is how I feel about it. It's not a rendition for compensation, which I would not accept. ... show more

Def not bad for instant . If you have a coffee pot or able to use the real stuff I'd use that but for instant coffee not bad. Size is good it is smooth depending on how much you use. The darkness is nice again on how much you use. Great value though

I like the fact that I can make a cup of coffee with room temp water and enjoy. During a disaster or emergency, you want to use your energy sources wisely. I can make coffee in a bottle of water. Nice! Flavor could be a little lighter for an original roast, but if I'm drinking this, I could probably use a strong cup o' joe. ... show more
