There are no issues with the connection once you wrap the cord inside the wall mount.
Fits my echo dot perfectly. It looks neat on my bathroom wall.

Takes some work to get cord into the grooves for storage
This does what it says and provides a place to store the cord. A couple of things to note.... The two grooves where the cord is stored are quite tight and you will likely have to put multiple wraps of the cord in the two grooves to get all of the cord in. I found using a flat head screw driver and (gently) pushing the cord in helped to get three wraps in each groove, which I needed to store all of the cord. It would be great if they just provided a very short length of power cord instead. As others have noted, the Gen 3 speaker is quite heavy, so expect that you will need to insert this with the speaker downwards. Hangs horizontally or vertically
I needed a mount for the Echo Dot third generation that was strong enough to mount horizontally or vertically. As can be seen in the picture, my outlets are horizontal, and a backsplash interferes with the positioning of the mount in a normal vertical orientation. So I needed to be able to orient the wall mount in a horizontal orientation, as shown, not just vertical. The wall mount consists of two pieces of injection-molded plastic, one that inserts into the other for a snug fit around the A/C adapter. The plastic is strong and is also reinforced with struts. The Echo Dot snaps into the mount. Instead of having a shorter wire from the A/C adapter to the Echo Dot, as with the previous mounts I bought on Amazon.com for Echo Dot versions 1 and 2, this one has a recessed area underneath the mount to capture the excess wire. There were no instructions included with my mount, but it was easy enough to figure out. My only worry when buying this mount was some previous reviews about this and other mounts that claimed that the mount slipped out of the outlet. That was not a problem with my mount and outlet. I suspect that the previous reviewers had old outlets that don't grip the prongs of the A/C adapter well, allowing it to slip out. That's a problem with the wall outlet, not the mount.

Just what I needed.
Used it to add my echo dot 3rd gen to my guest bathroom. "Alexa, drop in on kitchen. Babe, bring me toilet paper!" I kid of course but it is handy for music in the bath. In a normal room the dots sound tiny, but it a bathroom it sounds pretty good. And this keeps it up off the counter and safe.

This is super helpful for having an echo in the bathroom. for the longest time i have had my echo on the back of the toilet and the cord got in the way all the time. so this is super nice, the back has a place to wrap the the cord in and make it not show. its super easy to do, and the mount is clean.
