I love this thing. I haven't used any of the expensive options to compare this too, but it worked well enough for me. I used it with heavy, medium, then fine abrasive compounds to remove some scratches and blemishes. After the polishing compound I washed, waxed and buffed with wool pads. This will use up some battery running at a 6 speed setting, but I buffed at 4 speed and got the whole car done with an 8ah off brand battery. The batteries fit just like a DeWalt. I have zero complaints. Just can't beat this quality at this price. I love it.

I ordered this buffer polisher for automotive purposes but quickly found other uses for it. Being cordless it is easy to use and I already have a bunch of Dewalt batteries, I like tools that use a common battery type rather than having their own proprietary battery. The buffer works right out of the box by attaching the handle, pad, and a battery. I've used it on a car with dark paint and was able to get great results without scratches or swirling and very little effort. I also have a pontoon boat with aluminum toons and have been polishing these up, they look better then they did when the boat was new. This buffer is holding up well and is a great value.

This tool is for reals. Workhorse thru a seriously tough job, 12 hours grinding concrete counter top with diamond disks Never whimpered, but beware when the battery runs down no warning, just stops cold

Wish i took before and after pics, but it got rid of the etched water marks on my trucks hood, i wouldnt use this if i was i professional but for any DIYer and u have dewalt batteries this thing goes to town! For the price if it breaks ill just buy another one before buying the real thing its that worth it to me

This is a great polisher. The only recommendation is to change out the grease so to reduce vibration. I would recommend this polisher for the price, interchangeable backing plates and especially if you already have Dewalt batteries this a perfect polisher for a beginner.
