Headed out on a camping trip a few weeks ago. Dreaded setting up the campground fire since campgrounds generally sell you unseasoned wood which tends not to burn well. Used this equipment to split a batch of campground purchased firewood into much smaller pieces (roughly 4" x 3"). Then, assembled the logs into a log cabin configuration I learned from another camper. Add to that a few firestarters and voila, had a great campground fire ... 3 days in a row! Would have given it 5 stars if it was just 4-6 inches longer at the bottom. The current length is workable, but about 1/3 of the logs don't split properly with this length requiring me to knock them out and then resplit them by turning them upside into this tool. Overall, would recommend.

the videos make it look like it's super easy to use and will split an average size log. not true. it will split small pieces ok, but not sharp enough to go through branches you would want to split. have to hammer it really hard multilple times.

The media could not be loaded. This splitter is worthless. It is a completely blunt blade with zero edge on it at all. Posted a video of my finger running up and down it and pressing hard. They send a sharpener but it should come with a usually blade. Not even close. Do not purchase.
