Reasonably study and well made for the price! This isn’t an experience heavy bed but well made for the $220 price! Only took anbout 1.5 hrs to it anlone by myself. Also bought the matching side table which was also pretty well made.

    • High quality, easy assembly

Really appreciate the solid wood construction along with a solid metal bar down the middle to provide extra support. The assembly was pretty straightforward and not too complicated. All the main parts are numbered with stickers and the stickers were placed where they would be mostly covered when fully assembled. I still took them off, but others might not feel the need to do so. There are a few parts that need to be screwed together where there was not a pre drilled hole. The instructions don't call for it, but I pre drilled to avoid any potential for cracking. You probably don't need to, I just didn't want to take a risk. It took around 2.5-3 hours to assemble it on my own with the "help" of my kids (8, 6). Without help it probably would have been only a little bit faster. After finishing it, I ( 210 pounds) sat on it and could feel the strength and stability difference from our old bed. Yes it's more expensive than other beds, but the durability of real wood (instead of MDF or particle board) as well as the metal bar down the middle give it a higher quality that I believe is well worth the cost. I am not worried that my kids will damage it so that I have to replace it in only a few years like I would fear with some of the other "cheaper" beds. This is the bed that I have always wanted for my kid. And I finally got it! The best purchase I have ever made on Amazon. This bed is made of fine wood, and it holds up a lot of weight. The height is perfect for my 4 yr old, low to the ground. Doesn't make any noise, and doesn't take up much space in the room. It took about an hour to built the bed, which is not bad at all. The instructions were pretty clear. Thankfully didn't require any other tools than what they provided. I definitely recommend buying this bed for your toddlers/kids. it's so cute! ... show more

The pros: This bed is lovely and good quality. It is very sturdy and I love that it doesn’t have middle legs. I like the high weight limit compared to other children’s beds. 400 lbs compared to 250 lb that we were getting dangerously close to reaching. Now I can sit with my child in bed for many years to come. Heck, our whole family could sit on the bed and only be 20ish lbs over the limit! Overall a good product for the price. The cons: there are a few places where the paint isn’t even and looks like you can see the wood through it, luckily it’s on the back of the headboard which is against the wall. The main con is the instructions. This takes a lot of using common sense to get put together. Many of the steps are avitally several steps being portrayed at once. Each step tells you which parts you’ll need but in the graphic of each step the parts are not labeled. There are a couple pieces that indicate which direction they need to go, but several that don’t that really need to. Luckily I only had 2 steps I had to redo and neither required too much undoing of previous steps, but if you weren’t paying close attention you might have a lot of redoing. ... show more

I ordered this bed for my four year-old. The shipping was fast and the packaging was excellent—everything arrived well protected with no damaged pieces. The first thing I noticed was the color. From the online photos, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But it’s WAY more beautiful in person than online. It’s a very pretty brown that would be easy to match and coordinate with other furniture pieces. The directions were not very clear, but with a little common sense and some trial and error, it wasn't too hard to figure out. I recommend loosely assembling everything first before fully tightening, as I did have to correct a couple of pieces along the way. I also used a drill for the slats. I was able to put it together by myself in about two hours. The height is perfect for my four-year-old, and so far the bed has been very sturdy. Overall, I’m really happy with this bed and can see it lasting for many years. ... show more

UPDATE 2023. I cannot recommend these kids. Kids got bigger and on every single bed the metal support has sheared off the poorly glued on piece at the front that supports it. Every single bed. All 4 I bought. I've had to drill through the MDF panel and put in screws that will support it which defeats the purpose of these beds. Cannot recommend. . We bought three of these for our three boys that have outgrown the twin beds. I am the son of a carpenter and have been around building things including furniture a long time. I've also built a lot of IKEA furniture. This bed overall is very well made. I don't see the fingerboard (google it) construction that you see in some of the unpainted IKEA products. Also, I much prefer the heavier duty of the lats on this bed vs. ikea. There is one piece of MDF ( that is the front panel on the bed) otherwise the rest is solid wood and nice and thick. Also the furniture covered bolts are much thicker and it's nice to have all the dowels pre-inserted. I think I built the entire bed in around 20 minutes and that includes unpacking. The packaging is also very high quality and you can see they packed it with delivery to residents in mind. overall very happy so far. Will report back after a few months and how they survive a move. ... show more

The bed seems sturdy and of good quality but it’s larger than a standard twin mattress. So now there is an odd 3ish inch gap between the mattress. We will have to buy something to fill it in.
