  • Well made!
Style: Low Bunk + Slide Color: Clay
Purchased this bed for our 2 yr old. We have had nephews ages 7 and 9 sleep over as well. It took right much time to assemble, but worth the time and money in our opinion. We like that it is low to the ground since our toddler moved from a crib to this bunk bed. The transition was smooth! The sitting part of the top of the slide is another selling point, as many other slides just have a steep slope off of the top bunk. That was scary to us, so we love this slide with the seat and edges so much! We have 7 in twin mattress on top bunk and there is plenty of side/guard rail above it to satisfy us for safety reasons. Although, we had plenty of play and learn sessions about not jumping on the top bunk!!! ... show more

  • Perfect for my boys shared bedroom.
Style: Low Bunk Color: White
Easy for my 2 year old to get on and off of. The piece is not too high either (i have boys that like to jump) and we haven’t had an accident! Pretty solid and looks nice in person. The ladder did have some issues and it took FOREVER to put this together, but I’m satisfied with the purchase. (Also, so many screws! Good luck) ... show more

  • Great Bunk! Easy to put together!
Style: Low Bunk Color: Clay
First of all. This bunk actually shipped to Hawaii for $30 and that is already amazing. We have very limited choices here so we were happy to see this would ship. The UPS guy struggled a bit with the big box to get it to the garage. It is very long and heavy. Lucky for us 70 yo Grampa is in top shape and slung it on his shoulders and carried it to the back of the house. My 17 yo and I opened the box down stairs and carried pieces up and laid them out in the master according to page numbers. I am 7 months pregnant and assisted my 17 yo and we put it together pretty quick. She did most of it. Laying it out in order really helped. Definitely need two people especially the foot and headboard slats they are a bit annoying. For the mattress we used a Costco 11” mattress for the bottom. We wanted more comfort in case it needed to be a guest bed but that mattress was much to high for the top as it came up to the rails. So for the top we got a mattress in a box from Walmart that was only 6” and it worked great. Maybe we will use another for the bottom to make more space. There is a metal bar under the top bunk that knocked a few heads so we got a pool noodle and sliced it down one side and it popped on perfectly. We got the pink curtains and I didn’t like the idea of the plastic windows for safety and because it might be too hot so we carefully trimmed out the plastic windows. I tossed it in the dryer on refresh and it came out smelling good and less wrinkled. We put up the Velcro and used a staple gun to secure it to the bed then added the curtain and it is on there pretty solid even when daddy climbed in. My 5yo was so excited to hear she was getting a baby sister and she could finally have a bunk bed and she loves it. She would like to say it is easy to climb up the ladder and the “Secret Club” underneath is good for secret meetings. Overall this bed is very sturdy and was easy to build. We used a power drill set to low and that helped it go really fast. This bed shipped quickly and arrived in a few days. My advice is get the right drill bits and use a power drill set to low. Use a separate room to lay out the pieces and have a helper. We got the Clay color to match the rest of the furniture and it is very cute. This is not a wonky bed. We are quite happy with it. ... show more

  • Used to be 5 stars but new version is lower quality. Recommend assembling in a different order.
Style: Triple Low Bunk Color: White
A friend and I assembled the Max and Lily double bunk and two triple bunks, all of which are identical in their part numbers and assembly process. The double bunk was top quality and easy to assemble, but the triples were not nearly the same quality, although the bolts and assembly were still the same. They had been out of stock so the triples I purchased are the newer version and they have clearly cut some corners in the manufacturing process. The new beds have very poor paint quality with lots of flaws, the slats are made out of plywood instead of a single piece of wood, one of the holes for the metal rods isn't straight (it was wrong on both triples and had to be hammered in), and the steel bar is cheaper with corners that are sharper than the original version. The pilot holes for the brackets holding the steel bar are in the wrong place (on both triples), so be sure to use the bottom holes, not the top holes, or else the steel bar will be too high to install the slats. The directions are easy to follow if you pay close attention to detail. However, we assembled them in a different order so that we weren't trying to lift a completed bed into the air while fitting the legs onto the metal rods that connect it to the lower bunk. That would have taken 4 people. Instead, we assembled each bed in its place, on top of the lower bunks. We started by assembling all of the headboards/footboards. Each bunk is slightly different, so be sure to keep the pairs together. Then we connected the bottom bunk head and foot boards with the 2 long boards that hold the slats. We pushed the bolts in all the way to help hold up the long boards, then pulled the bolts out one at a time to screw them into the nut, using an impact driver. We fully tightened every bolt at each step. We stopped there, skipped some pages, and inserted the 5" metal rods into the tops of the legs, and put the next bunk's head and foot boards on those metal rods, on top of the bottom bunk. Then we attached both back guard rails at the same time by first hammering the dowels into the head/footboards with a rubber mallet and then guiding the holes in the ends of the boards onto the dowels sticking out. Then we attached the boards that hold up the slats, again pushing in all of the bolts to help hold it in place while we screwed the bolts into the nuts. We stopped there, inserted the metal rods on top of the legs, and put on the top two head and foot boards. Attached the back guard rails, then the 2 long boards that hold up the slats. Then we attached the two metal brackets, using the bottom pilot holes, not the top holes, and attached the steel bars on each of the top bunks. Then the slats. Then the front guard rails. And finally the ladders. The double bunk took us 5 hours because we took our time to fully understand the directions and to sort all of the nuts and bolts into different bowls. The first triple took us 3.5 hrs. The 2nd triple took only 2.5 hrs. I highly recommend using an impact driver. The beds are sturdy and beautiful, if you don't look too closely at the poor paint job on the two triples. I bought 6' foam pipe covers and cut them in half lengthwise and duct taped them to the underside of the steel bars to keep the children from bumping their heads. I paid more for the Max and Lily bunk mattresses and glad I did--they are high quality and a perfect fit. Can't wait for my grandkids to come visit! ... show more

  • Very sturdy, perfect for toddlers
Style: Low Bunk + Slide Color: Clay
We bought this for our almost 2 and 3 year old sons. First off this bed is VERY sturdy and well made. We had concerns about them being too young for bunk beds but it isn’t too tall which is good. If your kids can climb the stairs at a park then the ladder is no issue. Some reviews said the slide was super fast but we haven’t had any problems yet. Now let me warn you this bed has a lot of pieces and it took us 4 hours to put together (with both kids wanting to “help”) and my husband used a drill we did not hand screw like the directions said. Once we got the hang of step one it went easier but it was frustrating at times. We put 8 inch mattress on both. The bottom is your traditional mattress and the top we ordered on Amazon so it’s not as heavy and bulky. But like I said it is VERY sturdy and the kids are loving it!! If you’re on the fence just do it!! ... show more
