I have had chronic heartburn for over a year. I've taken every OTC drug for it from Pepcid to Pepto, Nexium 24 to Prilosec...brand name and generic versions of each. I've used Tums, Rolaids, and Peppermint essential oil to ease the burn. I've tried milk, and baking soda water. I've tried the sleep at an angle, don't lay down for 2 hours after eating, don't eat too late, don't wear tight clothes mumbo-jumbo my Doctor told me about. At most, these have worked for short times or haven't helped at all. I was at my wits end when I turned to Amazon for some kind of relief that I hadn't tried. I found Maty's All Natural Acid Indigestion Relief and thought "well, this is a little more than I want to spend, but what the hell, let's give it a try." It fell in a mid range price, and seemed to have decent reviews... so I clicked the button and added it to my cart. Within a day or so the bottle had arrived, and to be honest, I was excited. I was torn between taking it proactively and popping a pill right then and there, or waiting for a flare-up and then taking a pill. I opted for the later, as I fear my body growing immune to it and having it not work. Anywho... when my next episode occurred a day or so later, I took my first pill. Now... I wasnt in the full fledged back of the throat is on fire, let's just cut it out stage of my flare-up; but more in the burping up bile stage. (You know what I am talking about). When I opened the bottle, I was a little surprised at the size of the pill. These pills aren't for pill-popping-pansies. They are fairly large pills (you might want to think twice about buying this product if you have a hard time swallowing pills). Anyway, I took the pill and to be honest...shortly after I took it, I felt like it was lingering in my throat. So I decided to read the instructions (yeah, a little late, I know... but dont judge me) and it says to take the pill with 6 to 8 oz. of water. That's different than my general quick swig of water to flush the pills down. I went back to my cup and proceeded to drink my remaining 7.5 oz. of water. Sure enough, problem solved and that feeling of the pill being stuck went away. Time for results. So normally, I take my antacid wait a few, feel the flare up again, pop a couple tums, wait a few, pop a couple more and then hope for sleep (most of my bouts of heartburn are at night when I go to bed or they wake me from my beauty sleep). But with this pill, I simply took it, chilled sitting up for a few (cause you arent supposed to be laying down during a flare-up) and within a few minutes I felt good enough to lay down.... and the vicious demon heartburn was kept at bay for the rest of my night. It was A-MA-ZING. If you have tried everything else with little to no relief, then it's definitly time to give Maty's a try. I highly doubt you'll be dissatisfied with the results. PS.... not I have not been paid or coerced into writing this review.... I'm just a woman happy to be getting sleep again.

I guess it depends on the person. I switched to these because i have acid reflux DAILY, something to do with my genetics. I've used every type of acid reflux pill and all work. This pill definitely works! I think it's better too because I have heard that some of the regular pills are not good for long term use because it effects your liver. Important random tip my doctor told me with acid reflux. Sleep on your LEFT side, the way your stomach is shaped really effect acid reflux when you sleep on the other side. This small tip helped SO MUCH and I want to spread the word as much as possible!

These actually seem to work! These have helped my GERD symptoms significantly and I feel a lot better taking these than popping tums. I just take one after meals that I know might trigger acid reflux. I also highly recommend getting an Alkaline water filter pitcher! These pills in combination with only drinking alkaline water has helped my GERD sooo much. I haven’t had a bad case of reflux in weeks.

This product has stopped the Acid issues. I take one pill a day and feel better. Have not been sick either this year either, very odd since I get sick once a year for the last 44 years lol.. I very rarely write reviews, but feel tbis one is worth it. If you suffer from acid reflux, you seriously need to give this stuff a try. I have had absolutely unbearable acid reflux every day for years, which is not ok because coffee and super spicy food are life. I ended up taking omeprazole daily for way longer than is suggested. I start taking the recommended dose of one a day for a few weeks, but as soon as I would stop it, the heartburn would return with a vengeance. I continued to take it daily and would take a rest from it over the weekend, but eventually the heartburn got so bad that I couldn't even go a day without the omeprazole. I took it daily for almost two years and ended up causing myself a lot of issues with my GI tract because my acid and stomach flora got so out of wack and I started having lots of other issues like extreme fatigue, achy bones, stomach upset, etc, which are all side effects of using an acid block long term. I started looking for a more natural approach that didn't just temporarily ease the symptoms and found this product and have been able to COMPLETELY quit omeprazole!! I started out needing 4- 6 capsules a day for the first few days and had a little bit of reflux, but not unbearable. After giving it a chance to do its job, I've only had to take two a day and have not had heartburn in a couple of weeks!! I actually ran out of my first bottle a couple days ago and have ordered my second bottle, but have not had any issues with heartburn at all!! I have gone days without taking anything for acid reflux and have been able to continue drinking my coffee and eating the spicy food!! This is a life saver!!

This made my acid reflux HORRIBLE. I was on such extreme FIRE that I had to take a whole bunch of nasty TUMS and extra Omeprazole (which I was hoping this product would help me give up!). I only tried it once because it was THAT BAD. I actually woke up in the middle of the night and for the first time ever in my 43 year old life, I felt like my esophagus had closed up on me! It was terrifying!! I could breathe in but not out. My husband woke up hearing me heaving... I thought I was going to die and that is NOT an exaggeration. Very bummed because after reading reviews I had high Hope's for this product. My advice... STEER CLEAR!!
