The mask was definitely high-quality, heavy-duty (emphasis on heavy) plastic and has really cool eyes, jaw action (controlled with a chin strap so the wearer can open their mouth and it will open the mask's mouth) and sound effects. However, the fit of it smashed my poor 4 year old son's nose (so a tiny little button nose) even as it wanted to slide off his head. It seemed both too big and too small; it's shorter in height than expected, but bulky. The speaker is also really loud; I even put the mask on myself to test the noise level while wearing it and it hurt my ears. (It didn't fit me well, but it's not meant to fit adults, so that was to be expected.) Thankfully, there's a switch to turn off the sound effects/electronics (eyes do not light up unless the sound is also turned on), so we just play with it without the sound.
