My building wants me to avoid using anything that glues to the wall. I wasnt sure about this one but turn out the mechanism hold pretty good. And looks pretty good too. Pipes telescope but if you dont read instructions carefully then you might think it wont work. Pretty easy to put up.I wont try to grab and put human weight on it cz the pipes are hollow and will definitely break

I was shocked when this arrived in a small box! It actually comes in 5 pieces; I used 4 for a standard size tub/shower. You screw the pieces together (by hand), see photo. The little ridges actually look cool and I think make the rod look better than if it was just one piece of pipe. The rod appears to be aluminum, but I'm not sure. VERY sturdy but also very light weight. It was a breeze to install....just follow the instructions and then tighten additionally by hand (by twisting the last piece of rod). I hung a liner and a cotton curtain; rod did not sag at all. The ends are probably silicone, and they help secure the rod to the wall without damaging the wall (or my new paint job) at all. The end piece of silicone (?) is white and if you didn't have white walls, I guess it would show a tiny bit. I am thrilled with this shower curtain rod. It is exactly what I wanted and it looks fantastic; a clean, sleek appearance...I was going for a primitive look, real simple.

I don't really care for the look because you can easily see that its in sections but at least it stays put on tile. It doesn't look bad ,just kinda cheap but it works good. I'm not sure it would be durable enough if kids were using it with it being in sections. Something to think about before buying, as its just me using it its fine.

I customized my walk in closet using the Target bookshelf’s but after a week I decided I needed hanging space. I remember I had this rod but was doubtful it would hold the weight of clothes. Item arrived quickly and very well packaged. Pieces were individually wrapped to prevent rubbing and scratching. Instructions were clear, although not needed. Very easy to assemble. Bar was hung easily enough and was made as tight as possible. It held shower curtain and liner. The problem comes when the liner gets wet, it makes the curtains too heavy and pulled the bar down. Again it was as tight as humanly possible without using tools.
