I love this! I despise tension rods. I don't know why I struggle with them so much. Technically this is a bit of a tension rods but not really. It has sections to make it longer or shorter and you can also twist the last section to change the length the last couple inches. The square holders can stick on or screw into the wall. Then adjust the roof to tightly test in the holders. It looks beautiful and it's very sturdy. The matte black is exactly as pictured. The holders are a glossy black plastic however. They're a nice heavy duty metal rod. I've bought this for two bathrooms now because I liked it so much for the bathroom downstairs. NOTE: It's so sturdy that it easily holds up my extra long shower curtains and extra long liners! I wouldn't trust a standard tension rod to do that ... show more
