The curtain rod is sturdy and easy to assemble. Since I needed to use it across two walls, the best feature is the side support that can be attached to the wall. The rod can rest in a "cradle" and won't fall down. I would recommend this product.

We ordered two different rods in order to choose which we liked the best and while each had its own tradeoffs, both were quite nice. This bar seems to over the best value and can be sold for less since the shipping box is tiny, it came in 5 segments. The segmented design is probably the only thing we don't like -- it produces a much noisier shower curtain as the hooks drag across all those threaded sections. Beyond that, the color is great, design is simple and attractive, build quality isn't premium but still exceeds its price AND includes these handy adhesive hooks...though they are ugly and don't fit the design language of the rod. So if the segmented design doesn't bother you, this actually is a great rod. We ended up choosing the other rod because, again, the threads made too much noise for our taste. The bar we are comparing it to ( https://amzn.to/45p0B5O ) has just two sections, therefore 1 ridge. It is also shown against this bar the attached pictures. Both are nice, you'll have to choose your priorities.

I haven't been a big fan of tension rods in the past and have been pleasantly surprised with this. The pole comes in smaller sections that screw together with one end section with the tension spring. Having the sections screw together seem to give it more strength than the older ones that had just two pieces and one big spring. Also, the holders at each end made it even more steady and make it more precise when tuning the piece with the spring. I always found when turning the old tension rods it would moved around when twisting and tightening. The only minor complaint is it looks plasticky, but I don't really notice it with daily use.
