I bought this paddle on March 15, 2023 and received it on March 19th, since then I have played approximately 30 - 40 games (doubles games to eleven). Yesterday pieces of the paddle started to fall apart (see pictures). I send a message to the seller yesterday, but have not heard from them. I'll wait for their respond, they only provided 30 days to return the paddle. However, this is a manufacturing defect, I've never had any other paddle do this before. Has any one else had the same problem? It's August now and the seller has yet to refunded me. They emailed me in May saying a refund would be forthcoming. The edges are soft and the paddle itself is and of poor quality. There is no edge guard at all and It started deteriorating after only two weeks.

I got the Matrix Pickleball Paddle Future 002 so my wife, kids and I could enjoy the new pickleball courts our Association had built. We got the kids a good starter set (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BRX8BBQF?th=1) and thought I would get myself a better paddle (we need every advantage we can get playing against a pair of 17-year-old twins, lol). I was really surprised with how lightweight this paddle is and after holding and using it for a while, you really see the difference it makes. The materials are nice, and the build quality is excellent. The first couple of times I played pickleball, I used generic, no name paddles but didn't think too much of it as I had no frame of reference. After playing a couple of games with this paddle, I can tell the difference it makes. It is definitely worth it to spend the money on a really good pickleball paddle. My wife and I have been using this paddle now for several weeks going back and forth with our Engage, Wilson, DGYCASI and Franklin paddles. Obviously, each paddle plays/reacts differently. but I would have to say both my wife agree that this is a lightweight and fast moving paddle that's good when playing near the kitchen. I think both of our swings appear to be faster as well with the open throat design and still generates decent power as well as spin with the gritty surface, although it's not too gritty in comparison to the raw carbon fiber paddles. It's also difficult at this time to determine if the grit will eventually wear away like some other paddles do over time. All in all it's a very good paddle but at the current price point, I think there are some other options out there as well that are on par or perhaps better. ... show more
