I have natural curls and have tried tons of products for dry, damaged hair, and I must say, Matrix did NOT let me down! The consistency is pretty thin, but that doesn’t detract from its effectiveness. You use it in damp hair after shampooing, focusing on middle of hair down to the ends, let it sit for a bit, then rinse out. I so much prefer this after-shampoo bond reviver over the pre-shampoo styles. I just don’t have a lot of time for that extra step, so this is a winner for that reason alone! But on top of that, it did leave my hair softer and also helped with frizz.

I have fine, mostly straight hair that has damage from bleach and heat styling. I just recently turned 40 and I have found that the texture or my hair is changing as well... it's a little wavier, frizzier and more prone to breakage. I am a devotee of salon-quality hair products, and have used a variety of Matrix brand products over the years so I was excited to try this liquid mask. This is the first "liquid mask" I have ever used, and I was surprised by the "liquid" consistency. It is quite thin, even thinner than a regular conditioner, in my opinion. Interesting, right? Not what I expected from a "mask," but I slathered it on from the middle of my hair to the ends. It felt good going on, and I instantly noticed some detangling and some slip, but it wasn't earth-shattering. After about 5 minutes, I rinsed and it came out quickly (I like this, because some masks feel like you have to rinse forever and ever before it's out!). I could tell even before drying that my hair was a lot smoother. I dried my hair using a hair dryer brush, and I will say, I was left with soft, voluminous, smooth hair. I didn't have to hit it with a flat iron to make it shiny and smooth - it looked good with just a nice blow-out. That's impressive to me. I pay a good chunk-of-change every 6 weeks for hair color at the salon, so I try to preserve my color as best I can. This means I don't wash my hair every day, so it's important to me that the products I use don't make it greasy or full of build-up. This mask is definitely non-greasy and lightweight. I believe it did what it says it would, and repaired and smoothed my hair. I assume it would work even better used in conjunction with its coordinating shampoo and styling products. If your hair is in need of some repair, I think this mask is definitely worth a try. Thanks!

I love this stuff! I don’t use it all the time, just when I feel like my hair needs a pick me up. It does an awesome job of conditioning my hair… adding moisture and really making it shine while also making it look extremely healthy! I dye my hair every month, so sometimes my hair just need that extra TLC. This is perfect. Comes with plenty of product to last me a long time. Definitely exceeded my expectations.

I try a lot of hair care products and this is definitely ip there. My hair is actually quite healthy and undamaged as I don’t dye or blow dry it or even use any “product” after a conditioner. I figure if a treatment helps my hair be better it can help anyone’s hair. This is definitely a product with a positive impact. I have a sensitive scalp, one reason I don’t use “products”, this doesn’t cause me irritation.

I love this in shower hair mask. It’s thick and absorbs well. My hair feels soft, smooth and voluminous for several days after using it. It rinses out well too so you don’t feel heavy or greasy like some masks. The smell is clean and fresh with floral notes, and this was easy on my color treated hair. I put this on after shampooing and leave it as long as it takes to shave, and it’s worked magic.

I am a fan of Matrix Hair products. I was surprised by this hair repair gel, as the consistency is very thin/viscous, just a bit thicker imo than plain water. It smells great and leaves my hair feeling soft and light. I have combination hair -- oily at the scalp but dry at the ends. I use this more concentrated on my ends, then wrap in a small bun and let it sit for a few minutes to soak in. I did not use the other 3 products in the set. It's stated Vegan which is another plus. I like it! Hope this helps! :-)

I enjoy going to the salon because when I'm done my hair always looks so healthy and smooth. I can never achieve that look at home, but this mask helps me come close. It's easy to use and smells really nice and not too strong. My hair looks so much smoother without feeling like it's loaded down with product.
